Templo de San Diego o Santuario de Guadalupe MORELIA
This is a temple consent of morelianos, as well as being home to an image of the Virgin of Guadalupe, gorgeous interior contrasts with other religious buildings in the city.
Construction began in 1708 and was completed in 1716 as part of the monastery of Dieguinos.
In the colonial era the sanctuary was outside Valladolid, so he built a pedestrian walkway that take you directly to the church in 1732: the Fray Antonio de San Miguel.

Dec 12th day of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe
December 12th, under the biggest full moon of 2008, we celebrated The day of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.
To get to the Santuario de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe in Morelia, we need to cross a broad cobblestone walk know as the Calzada de San Diego located in one of the most representative areas in Morelia.
People start the arrival very early in the morning trying to bring their children and themselves all dressed in traditional outfits to visit our beloved Lady.
Long skirt rebozo, trenzas with colored ribbons in the hair, etc.
Very close to the entrance, it starts to get very, very crowded; for this special day all the benches in the church had been removed to have a better access.
I made this little video trying to share a little of our traditions and show you this beautiful Sanctuary.
I´m sorry for the blurry images but my 3 pix camera couldnt do more :D
I really hope you enjoy this!

Zacatecas, Mexico
Located in Mexico's northwestern region, the state of Zacatecas was one of the most important mining regions during the colonial era and it played a key role in the Mexican Revolution. In Zacatecas, the state capital, you'll see magnificent architecture of pink quarry stone as you walk along the sloped streets, alleys and through the plazas. Among the notable edifices are the Cathedral, considered one of the best examples of Mexican Baroque architecture, and the Calderon Theater in the downtown area. The UNESCO declared the Historic Center of Zacatecas a World Heritage Site.
You'll also find numerous cultural events in the state capital, such as the Zacatecas Festival and the Zacatecas International Folklore Festival, which features performances by folkloric groups from various countries. For a panoramic view of Zacatecas, we recommend that you take a ride on the suspended cable car, which crosses the city from Cerro de la Bufa to Cerro del Grillo, allowing you to get a bird's-eye view of the beautiful architecture. After that you can visit the Museo de la Toma de Zacatecas and the Eden mine, where you can take a tour on an old mine train.
In other parts of the state you can visit the city of Fresnillo, where nearby you'll find a famous sanctuary and the towns of Guadalupe and Jerez. As for natural attractions, you can go hiking in the Sierra de Organos and the Sierra de Cardos, where you'll see impressive rock formations, making them the ideal spots for rappelling and other adventure sports. During your visit to Zacatecas, don't forget to explore La Quemada, one of the northern region's most important archaeological zones.

When we started traveling in Mexico, there were a lot of Mexican customs that were a TOTAL culture shock!
►Learn Spanish like us!
In this Mexico travel video, we share some interesting facts about Mexico—quirks about Mexican customs, traditions, and language that used to be bizarre to us but we now find commonplace.
We hope this video helps you see some of the unique things about living in Mexico and find out a little more about what Mexico is like. We do our best to share what Mexico is like from the eyes of two Americans living in Mexico. If you enjoyed this video, check out this playlist of videos we made in the Lake Chapala area:
ABOUT US (MADDIE & JORDAN)
In January 2018, we sold everything we owned in the US (except our husky Laska & what fit in our tiny, tangerine Prius C3) to travel the world—starting with Mexico. Since then, we've been making travel videos about our life in Mexico and the new experiences we encounter while traveling the world. If you'd like to join our shenanigans, subscribe to our YouTube channel. You can also poke around our social media to find out what we’re up to each week.
