2-night trip to the small Colombian town of Barichara, Colombia. Barichare is located in the Santander region of Colombia and it is famously and unoficially known as Colombia's prettiest town. This stunning, traditional looking pueblo showcases the best of small town Colombia with beautiful architecture and calm rural ilfe. The Camino Real, is a hike (around 2 hours) to the even smaller town of Guane. Guane is famous for its goat dishes, offering some of the region's best goat cuisine.
We've seen lots of beautiful towns in South America but it is hard to argue that Barichara is the prettiest and most beautiful town in Colombia. It is one of our top places in Colombia that we would recommend visiting, as it is right near San Gil - another great place to visit in Colombia, with some of the best activities and adrenalin sports the country has to offer.

Guadalupe, Santander, Colombia - 4K UHD - Virtual Trip
Guadalupe is a tiny village located at the southern limit of the Santander department in Colombia. It was founded in the early eighteenth century by Spanish settlers and today has less than 5000 inhabitants. The population in Guadalupe has preserved the peculiarity of its origins: we meet many locals with white skin and clear eyes, so we are far from the population of western Colombia or the natives of Amazonia! In general we found the people of Guadalupe rather curious, friendly and for many of them quite smiling. Apart from perhaps a few exceptions, most seem to have an average standard of living, with occupations related to land or livestock. There is a little Far-West side here, with the many horses in the village and especially the cowboy hats on every head.

Barichara Santander Colombia desde el Aire con Drone

Es un pueblo colonial muy bien conservado que hace parte del patrimonio de Colombia con una arquitectura propia de la región y muy famosa, la tapia pisada. Tiene muchas iglesias como la de Santa Barbara, interessantes talleres de arte y goza de una hermosa vista sobre el Canon del Rio Suarez.
Barichara, también en Santander, fue declarada Monumento Nacional en 1978 y conserva aún después de 300 años su arquitectura colonial intacta. En esta región la gastronomía típica está representada en el cabro, la pepitoria, el mute santandereano, las carnes oreadas y por supuesto la hormiga culona, una tradición alimentaria de 200 años. A 9 km, congelado en el tiempo y la historia se encuentra Guane, descubierto en 1540 por Martín Galeano. Usted puede descubrir el museo arqueológico y la iglesia de Santa Lucía, entre otras bellezas arquitectónicas. La agreste topografía que rodea a este pueblo mágico provee toda la emoción y adrenalina que los deportes extremos al aire libre puedan proporcionar: parapente, torrentismo, descenso del majestuoso cañón del Chicamocha.

San José de Cúcuta, is a Colombian city, capital of Norte de Santander department. It is located in the northeast of the country, in the eastern branch of the Colombian Andes, on the border with Venezuela. Cúcuta has a population of approximately 650,000 people according to the 2005-2020 census,[3] making it the 6th largest city in the country. Due to its proximity with Venezuela, Cúcuta is an important commercial center. The international border in Cúcuta is said to be the most dynamic of South America.[4] The city has a length of 12 kilometres (7.5 miles) from north to south and 11 kilometres (6.8 miles) from east to west. It is divided into 10 communes and it is the political, economic, administrative, industrial, cultural and tourism hub of the Norte de Santander department.
Cúcuta has experienced a great urban development, as a result other cities has been constituted around the city, like Los Patios in the east, and Villa del Rosario in the south. They are part of the Metropolitan Area of Cúcuta which has a population of about 850.000 people. It is connected by roads across the country to major cities like Bogotá, Bucaramanga, Ocaña, Valledupar, Pamplona, Tunja and Cartagena de Indias and because of its location, to many cities of Venezuela. Its airport, Aeropuerto Internacional Camilo Daza, offers flights to several Colombian cities as well as to Panama City.
The city was the place of some of the most important events in Colombian history, like the redaction of the first constitution by the Congress of Cúcuta which led to the foundation of the Republic of Colombia, also known as Gran Colombia, and the Battle of Cúcuta, where troops led by Simón Bolívar defeated the Spanish Royal Rorce, thereby liberating the city from Spanish rule and allowing Bolívar troops to continue their campaign toward Venezuela.San José de Cúcuta es una ciudad colombiana, capital del departamento de Norte de Santander. Se encuentra en el noreste del país, en la rama oriental de los Andes de Colombia, en la frontera con Venezuela. Capítulo 4: Alfinger “la Tragedia del Pueblo Guane”: en este capítulo retrataremos la producción artística de la obra de teatro “Alfinger”, la Tragedia del Pueblo Guane”. La Escuela Mario González, en colectivo con el grupo de teatro Kussi Huayra, pone en escena la llegada del colonizador y esclavizador alemán Alfinger a las tierras de los indígenas Guane los cuales habitaron el Cañón del Chicamocha. Esta obra fue ganadora de una beca de creación departamental en el año 2015.
La séptima temporada de “Contracultura serie de televisión documental” está compuesta por seis (6) microdocumentales de siete (7) minutos de duración cada uno, con los cuales se busca propiciar un diálogo entre algunos de los actores y exponentes de las artes escénicas del Municipio de Piedecuesta.
