Military Vehicles Display - Guernsey 8th May 2010
A display of military vehicles which include trucks, motorbikes, Land Rovers, Willys Jeeps and staff cars. There were also guns and people dressed in wartime uniforms. This event called the Festival of Transport was held at Saumarez Park, Guernsey in the Channel Islands on the 8th May 2010 as part of the weekend celebrating the 65th Liberation Day.
During World War 2 the Channel Islands were occupied for five years by Adolf Hitler's German Nazi forces. They bought in thousands of Organisation Todt slave workers which were forced to build hundreds of fortifications around Guernsey and live in terrible conditions.
Guernsey was liberated from the Germans on the 9th May 1945 and Liberation Day is celebrated every year on the 9th May. This video will be one of many uploaded during 2010 to celebrate 65 years of the Liberation Day.

PRINCE CHARLES AND CAMILLA IN JAMAICA
Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, joined a group of red, gold and green-clad Rastafarian musicians in Kingston, Jamaica Wednesday (12MAR08), for a drum session outside the former home of reggae great Bob Marley.
Currently on a Caribbean tour to promote environmental protection, the royal couple were led through the home - now a museum honouring the late singer - by Marley's widow Rita, and sons Robert and Rohan.
Charles, who wore a grey suit and blue tie, and Camilla, dressed in a cream-coloured suit, viewed memorabilia such as tour photos and a Gibson guitar favoured by the singer.
Born in Kingston's shantytowns, Marley rose to international stardom before dying of cancer at 36-years old.
His lyrics promoting one love made him an icon in the former British colony and in many countries around the world.
Earlier on Wednesday, hundreds of people jostled each other for a glimpse of the British royals during a visit to an impoverished community.
Charles chatted with townspeople and planted a seedling at a community centre in Rose Town, where his Foundation for the Built Environment is helping with revitalisation efforts.
The prince also inspected an honour guard in the capital.
Governor General Kenneth Hall and British High Commissioner Jeremy Cresswell accompanied the royals, who are nearing the close of a five island tour aboard a 246-foot (75-meter) yacht that boasts a hot tub, gym and 24-member crew.
Charles and Camilla were scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Bruce Golding and visit Montego Bay before departing on Friday.

The DLI Museum closed on the 31st of March 2016.
An excellent and compact museum, displaying artifacts from World War 1 & World War 2 and other areas of the DLI Regimental History.
Seven Victoria Cross, could be viewed, as well as thousands of other medals rewarded to members of the Durham Light Infantry.
Another piece of County Durham's heritage, sacrificed by a Council that has no affinity with the electorate.

Epic Euro-Tour of May 2008 (the compilation)
This video is not supposed to tell the story of the 2008 Epic Euro-Tour in any meaningful way - it is merely a collection of short video clips which accompanied the photo casebook:
And those photos are almost meaningless without the massive, massive review in words - where I went, what I did, and why I did it (which was essentially to visit all the tiny countries of Europe that are somewhere near France, and cross the Millau viaduct that I'd seen on Top Gear):
Part 1 -
Part 2 -
Everything you see here was badly filmed at the time, badly improvised and (eventually) badly edited. It was supposed to be a dry run for filming in Iceland in 2009. By then, I had a better camera and knew what I was doing with it!
The formerly-individual videos (all 49 of them, and the not-quite-credits) can be found at the following time points:

Heavy Horses & Brewery carts display - West Show 2008
This video shows the excellent heavy horse display with Brewery dray carts which took place at Guernsey's West Show 2008. They came over from England to do the show. I am not an expert on horse breeds but I think these are Shire horses and Percheron horses.

WWII tunnels under the White Cliffs of Dover opened
A labyrinth of forgotten World War Two tunnels built beneath the White Cliffs of Dover on Winston Churchill's orders have revealed glimpses of wartime life.
The Fan Bay Deep Shelter was carved out of chalk in just 100 days in the 1940s as part of Dover's connected offensive and defensive gun batteries, aimed at foiling German shipping movements in the Channel.
Lying 75ft below the Kent coastline, the 3,500 sq feet of interconnecting tunnels, which are reinforced with iron girders and metal sheeting, accommodated four officers and up to 185 men during the war.
The shelter - which was personally inspected by Churchill in 1941 - was decommissioned in the 1950s before being filled in with rubble and soil and abandoned during the 1970s.
