Guesthouse Husky, Ivalo, Finland - Husky Safari in -24°C (4K Tour)
We stayed for two nights at the Guesthouse Husky. A must do for any dog lover! We got to play with huskies, and husky puppies in their natural environment.
The highlight of course was the husky safari, and the northern lights (which didn't make it to the video).

Aurora Borealis over Guesthouse Husky, Ivalo, Finland
The Aurora Borealis dancing over Guesthouse Husky in Ivalo, Finland on January 21st 2015. This was a surprise G1 storm for everyone as there wasn't much activity forecast for this day. As soon as 5:30pm green/red pillars were forming in the sky and we were treated to around 2 hours of Northern Lights. They dimmed down around 8pm but we were delighted to see this!

Dog Sledding Husky Tour with Bear Hill in Lapland, Finland
We enjoyed our first time mushing on our dog sled/husky tour in Lapland, Finland. We were picked up at a nearby hotel by Bear Hill Tours and after a 30 minute ride, we were onsite for our dog sledding tour to begin. After dressing into warm coveralls and learning the hand signals for our husky tour, we headed off on our Lapland Adventure with the husky dogs.

Here’s our Honeymoon three parts travel series.
First Part, Welcome to Finland ???????? ! The Land of the Midnight sun. The original plan was a 5-6 European countries but when I found out that our Honeymoon period falls on Aurora season, Fork Yeah! We cut the trip to half and we push through with Finland!
Finland is one of the Scandinavian countries, and part of the Arctic circle which by the way the Northest place we have ever been and one of the best places to see the mysterious Northern Lights- Aurora Borealis.
so here are our highlights
1. To see Aurora on our first night. Man, I’m Awestruck to see this phenomenon for real. I am geeking out that i no longer see them in my science textbooks but on a spectacular HD natural screen. It has to be destiny because it is not showing all night for you. You have to hunt her. Wait her to see her beauty. A major bucketlist tick off!
2. Igloo glass house. We are in the Arctic Circle so these are a must see. You can watch the aurora right above your cozy comfortable glass ceiling. How cool is that.
3. See a Reindeer for the first time. Come on, We are in the North pole where Santa Clause lives so a hi from Rudolf and his friends are crazy!
4. Husky Sleigh ride. This is my favorite breed of Dog. (No hurt feelings Burdigoy). They are cuddly and fluffy and wild. I can only see this ride on movies so yeah I will not let this opportunity pass.
5. Snow Activities. It is Davie’s first time snow experience so I am very happy to share that moment with her. And we are Asian lived on a tropical so when there will be snow it will be gold!
6. Coffee. I am probably Finnish by heart by sharing the supreme love for coffee.
7. Sauna. This relaxing treat origins from the scandinavian countries so fully submerge to the culture We sauna Baby.
8. Culture. Finnish People are so hospitable and kind. Food is a must try!

It's husky time! | Ivalo | Lapland | Finland | February 2018
Lapland! That was our ultimate bucket list destination for this winter and we made it! Besides surviving a real winter, we had a great experience with huskies!
As soon as we arrived, we knew we were at the right place. We were surrounded by so much snow and when we walked through it we sunk in it until our knees. The temperatures were really cold sometimes and even passed the -30°C! Luckily we had proper clothes to keep us warm.
As soon as we met the huskies we fell in love, they are so adorable and love to cuddle! When we saw the little puppies we went crazy! The cutest things we've ever seen!
It was such a pleasure to work with these animals. They are naughty and sometimes really stubborn, but that makes it so much fun.
Every morning we started the day with feeding the dogs. If there were any planned excursions we prepared the sledges and made the teams ready. 6 dogs in front of every sledge. It is beautiful to see how eager they are to run and as soon as you release them, you can't stop them anymore!
When the dogs were running their excursion with a guide, we prepared dinner for them and fixed their harnesses. We also visited the puppies, to check if everything is going well. Amazing how fast they grow!
Besides working we did a lot of fun stuff. We went cross country skiing for the first time ever! We fell a lot, but stood up to try again. After trying a little bit it went better and better!
We also made some fun rides on the snow mobile. Amazing thing to do in this beautiful landscape!
After 4 weeks we were ready for our next adventure. A skiing trip to Trysil in Norway! Check out our next blog to see how Kelly managed for the first time ever!

Lapland Vlog: One Week In Arctic Europe l Swedapura
Spent the last week on a road trip in Arctic Europe from Helsinki to Ivalo to Saariselkä to Muotka to Nellim to Inari to Kirkenes. The Northern Lapland region is very beautiful and March is a great time to visit!

The lodge is extremely comfortable, warm and clean. Amazed to see so many husky dogs who were more than excited to head out on a sleigh ride.
Travel VLOG Day 4 & 5 Inari, Lapland Finland/ Wilderness Hotel/ Northern Lights Cabin/ Husky Safari
On day 4 & 5, we went further north and arrived Inari trying to chase the northern lights, unfortunately, we didn’t see any this trip. Well, that’s life right, things don’t always turn out the way we’d planned. On the bright side, we have an excuse to do it again! We also joined the Husky Safari, do not worry I think it’s ethical as the guide did show us how they’re being treated daily, the place they live and many other knowledges about the huskies, and those are Alaskan Huskies, they are sled/sleigh dog and we were told that they enjoy the running and also freezing cold weather (usually around -20 is good for them) etc etc. Very interesting to learn these. Oh, and at night we join the Northern Lights Chase by Car, however no luck as well due to the snow. That’s a wrap for the Finland trip, next video we’ll be in Tallinn, Estonia. See you in next video! 簡短地說，我們到了Inari Wilderness Hotel，亦嘗試了搭車追北極光的團，可惜我們都係無睇到任何極光。樂觀啲諗，我哋多個藉口再追光吧。其實除咗等晚上追光，我們也參加了husky safari (哈士奇之旅)，一開始我會擔心狗狗們會不會太攰，天氣會不會太凍啊等等，但經過啲staff一番詳細解說之後就安心了，我們還參觀了狗狗住所等等，感覺帶我哋嗰個男士都係愛狗之人。所以，芬蘭之旅暫時到此為止，下集就係飛出芬蘭到塔林啦，下次見！
