I Fell in Love... 18 Best things to do in Ravenna, ITALY | Ravenna Travel guide
I'm sharing my Ravenna travel guide ( the best things to do in Ravenna Italy. Ravenna is the mosaic heart of Emilia Romagna. There are 8 UNESCO World Heritage Mosaics in Ravenna but it is also a really cute town. Kinda like the Paris of Italy. A lesser known destination of Italy, if you're an art lover, this city will steal your mosaic heart.
Note: I attended the #STSRavenna, a Social Travel Summit conference put on by iAmbassador, Ravenna and Emilia Romagna Tourism Boards. I was invited so I could attend as a delegate. The conference is for travel bloggers' self-betterment and to encourage discussions about responsible tourism. Due to overtourism being a problem in so many places responsible tourism strives to find positive solutions to aid or promote travel which is ethical, responsible, sustainable, eco-friendly and/or anti-animal cruel. It is something I personally strive to practice in my own travels and hope to encourage in my fellow travelers.

Milan and Lake Como
Rick Steves' Europe Travel Guide | No trip to Italy is complete without Milan and Lake Como. In Milan we'll take a peek at Italy's highest fashion, fanciest delis, grandest cemetery, and greatest opera house...not to mention Leonardo's Last Supper. Then we'll cruise along Lake Como, settling down in the lakeside village of Varenna...classic honeymoon country, where Italy meets the Alps.

Traveling ITALY'S RIVIERA! CINQUE TERRE in 24 Hours | 5 Villages
Finally, visiting Italy's Riviera! Over crowded, hyped? Probably... this was still #1 on my bucket list for Italy. A popular spot in the Italian Riviera is Cinque Terre, a string of five colorful sea side villages which dot the Italian Riviera coastline. Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, Monterroso Al Mare, I solo travel Cinque Terre in 24 hours. I did this as a day trip from Florence and you can too!.

Visit Italy - The DON'Ts of Visiting Italy
Read the Blog on What Tourists Should Not Do When They Visit Italy:
GRAB A WOLTERS WORLD SHIRT
What You Shouldn't Do When You Are in Italy
Visiting Italy is an amazing experience whether you are seeing the Roman ruins throughout the country in places like Rome or Naples, but for all the amazing things you should do in Italy (visit Venice, Florence, Rome, Ravenna, Amalfi Coast, eat until you explode) there are things you DON'T DO when you come to Italy & Here are our 12 things NOT TO DO in Italy when you are traveling Italy.
Filmed in Vicenza, Italy
Copyright Mark Wolters 2016
The Don'ts of Italy
1. Don't expect to get discount prices on fancy Italian luxury brands.
2. Don't eat near tourist sights. You will be ripped off and not get as good of Italian food as you would away from the tourist sights.
3. Don't Tip. They already charge you for service.
4. You Don't have to scream louder to get people to understand you.
5. Don't worry about overdressing, the Italians will always look better than you.
6. Don't just visit Rome and Venice, there is so much more to Italy.
7. Don't share your pizza and make sure you do eat it with your fork and knife.
8. Don't use the fast trains for short distances, they are not worth the significantly higher prices.
9. Don't expect to see spaghetti and meatballs on the menu TOGETHER. They will be there separately, but not together.
10. Don't expect a big breakfast in Italy. Just coffee and a cookie.
11. Don't overpack. You will be limited on space when traveling in Italy so pack accordingly.
12. Don't expect to be served food in a restaurant between 3pm and 7pm.

What to Do in Parma, Italy in 3 Hours
The plan was to take the train from Milan to Parma, spend three hours exploring Parma, and then catch another train to La Spezia. The plan worked PERFECTLY. Click Show more to see the 3-hour schedule below.
We booked two one-way regional train tickets (one from Milan to Parma and another from Parma to La Spezia), each at about 11 Euros per person. That allowed us to make our own schedule so we could explore Parma. We had to carry our luggage with us, but fortunately we travel light.
The highlight of the trip (besides Pepen's food, of course) was the Parma Cathedral. The paintings and decorations inside this cathedral are unparalleled. It is one of the most awe inspiring, completely impressive buildings I've ever been in (and I've been in St. Paul's in London, St. Peter's in the Vatican, and most of the other impressive cathedrals of the world).
Here's the schedule: (with video time stamps) And how long we spent there.
2pm - Arrive at Parma train station
2.15pm - Eat at Pepen (0:08) Thirty minutes, depending on how busy it is.
2.45pm - Check out Parma Cathedral (0:41) We spent an hour here.
3.45pm - Monastero San Giovanni (1:33) Fifteen minutes is fine.
4.05pm - Chiesa della Staccata (2:00) Ten minutes.
4.20pm - Teatro Farnese (2:19) Thirty minutes.
Then you have 30 minutes to eat gelato (2:53), explore (we went to a few parks that weren't very pretty in March so they didn't make the video), and get back to the train station.
If you're staying in La Spezia (hiking Cinque Terre), stay with Marco on Airbnb. His apartment was fantastic and he was a great host.
This is part 5 of a 10-day road-trip/train-trip through Switzerland and Italy around Easter 2016. Start the journey with us from the beginning here:

Most of us are familiar with the story of Romeo and Juliet. It is said to have happened in Verona - a city now known for this tragic love story. But have you ever looked beyond this tale? Narrator: Welcome to the wonderful City Wonders tour. We're here for a full day tour to go see Lago di Como, Bellagio, and then we're going to make our way into another country. We also do this incredible two hour cruise. We get to have a wonderful view of all of the beautiful villas that are along the lake. And get a peek at some of the incredibly famous celebrities that live around here, hopefully. We know that George Clooney has his house here. We also have Richard Branson of the Virgin Enterprises here, and you can also have a peek at some incredible settings for movies. Of course, my favorite stop on the entire tour is Bellagio. Bellagio truly is the pearl of Lago di Como where we have incredible romantic streets, beautiful little stores to peek in and, of course, restaurants with incredible views.
So welcome to Lugano in Switzerland, our second stop. So one wonderful thing about Switzerland is it has some of the best chocolate in the world, and I bet you didn't know that the invention of milk chocolate was actually something that happened here in Switzerland in 1875.
Female: I really enjoyed today because we got to see two countries and two lakes in one day. I think it was an amazing experience, and we had headsets so you can hear your guide at all times. I would definitely rate this City Wonders tour five stars out of five.
