TASMANIA TOURIST ATTRACTIONS GUIDE FALLS ALPACA AND ANIMAL PARK
Guide Falls Alpaca and Animal Park is located on the northern coast of Tasmania just 16 klms from central Burnie .
An enjoyable short drive through meandering country side a day trip can include a barbeque at guide falls waterfall and reserve conveniently located right next door to the park.
The park is both a tourism attraction and a fully working alpaca stud animal park and retail garment outlet.
The park consists of meandering gardens,
Tranquil trout ponds with extra large trout swimming at your feet.
Stroll along pathways enjoying abundant native flora amongst which are magnificent bird aviaries
Mammals, marsupials,
peacocks
guinea foul
pheasants
water fowl
plus many more
Visitors are welcome between 9.30am to 5pm 7 days per week with the exception of Good Friday and Christmas Day. Come along and have a fantastic day at Tasmania's premium Alpaca and Animal Park.
Admission fee is
• Adults $7
• Children under 3 are free
• Between the ages of 3-16 its only $3
Whilst you are here enjoy great photo opportunities with an alpaca, have a guided tour, hand feed the animals, relax kick back put your feet up with a lovely hot coffee or tea and soak up the views from the country veranda .
The craft and garment store is open free to the public
We carry a large range of alpaca products.
Tasmanian grown and made - Many of our garments are made from the fleece produced by our own animals. Some are hand spun and knitted. Others are hand knitted from commercially spun yarn and some are machine knitted. All are made either in-house or by local knitters.
Products available in the craft store
• Gloves, scarves, beanies & hats, jumpers, cardigans, ponchos, socks, capes and many other garments
• Knitting yarn & spinning fleece
• Knitting books and learn to knit information
We would love to see you at our lovely family park, come along and enjoy your stay. Have a tour, catch or feed the fish, pat the animals, smell the roses and make this part of your wonderful Tasmanian experience.

Tasmania Part 1 by The Australian Tourist
Tasmania is the only island state in Australia positioned at the bottom of the country south of Melbourne. Simply put Tasmania is a haven for Tourists. We were able to travel around in a Tasmanian camper which gave us the added benefit of having our transport, accommodation & cooking all in one. Tasmania is approximately 300km from north to south & east to west so you are going to need some transport, if you want to take full advantage of all that the island has to offer. Along our travels we saw an extreme number or bike riders peddling their way around Tasmania, after chatting with them they stated it was such a great place to cycle around as the towns aren't too far from each other. For those who don't want to brave the roads on a bike there are almost more campers then people available and every where you go there are caravan parks or hidden little places to park on the side of the road (you didn't hear that part from me). The scenery is incredible and there is great variety from the east to the west and the north to the south.
You can't go to Tasmania with out seeing the Tasmanian Devil or even try find the thought to be extinct Tasmanian Tiger. If your lucky enough you may spot a Tasmanian Devil in the wild but there are several wild life parks such as East Coast Nature World that you can get up close and take picture of the little devils.
Tasmania has a detailed history of convict life with one of the best places to see first hand, buildings and living conditions of the early convicts & settlers is at Port Arthur. Not far from Port Arthur are incredible cliffs with ocean caves, arches and natural stone structures. It may very well be worth while taking one of the many boat tours to show you around these areas.
As you travel around Tasmania you'll see many different types of farms including some famous vineyards that are well worth a stop.
Hobart has plenty to offer besides being a city & offering all the comforts of the city it also has the incredible Mt Wellington towering over it. Please don't go to Hobart with out the drive up Mt Wellington.
Tourism & travel in Tasmania is world class, if you live in Australia it's only a cheap flight away.

Russell Falls, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia
The Russell Falls, a tiered–cascade waterfall on the Russell Falls Creek, is located in the Central Highlands region of Tasmania, Australia, and we get a chance to visit it!
The Russell Falls are situated on the eastern boundary of Mount Field National Park, 100 metres (330 ft) downstream of the Horseshoe Falls, approximately 70 kilometres (43 mi) northwest of Hobart via the Brooker and Lyell highways. Accessible by a paved walking track, the falls are a popular tourist attraction. The waterfall descends over horizontal marine Permian siltstone benches, while the vertical faces of the falls are composed of resistant sandstone layers.
It wasn't really a great place to visit, mainly because the Oshinkoshin Falls were far more spectacular, but who cares enjoy the video!

Gordon Dam is located 160Km from Hobart which was built in 1969. The concrete dam wall is the tallest in Tasmania with a height of 140 meters which is higher than the Sydney Harbour Bridge and holds thirty times more water than Sydney Harbour.

Mount Field National Park is a national park in Tasmania, Australia, 64 km northwest of Hobart. The landscape ranges from eucalyptus temperate rainforest to alpine moorland, rising to 1,434 metres (4,705 ft) at the summit of Mount Field West.
Mount Field National Park was founded in 1916, making it, along with Freycinet National Park, Tasmania's oldest national park. The area around Russell Falls has been protected for its natural beauty since 1885, when it was set aside as Tasmania's first nature reserve. The last known wild thylacine was captured in the region in 1933. The reserve was called National Park before 1946, but was officially renamed to its present name in 1947.

Port Arthur is a small town and former convict settlement on the Tasman Peninsula, in Tasmania, Australia. Port Arthur is one of Australia's most significant heritage areas and an open air museum.
