Inca Trail to Machu Picchu 5-Days | Guiding Peru
This 5-day trekking program is an excellent alternative to avoid the crowds found on the 4-day classical route, reaching quieter, more distant and beautiful campsites en-rote to Machu Picchu. It is recommended for those guests looking for a more relaxed pace, wishing to take more time to explore the Inca trail, allowing a better acclimatization to altitude with daily walking distances shorter than in the 4-day Classic Trek.

Moonstone Trek to Machu Picchu | Guiding Peru
On our guided Machu Picchu Moonstone trail tour, we will explore one of the region’s best trails, which is fast becoming one of our client’s favorite alternatives to the better-known traditional Inca Trail to Machu Picchu Trek. On this “off the beaten route”, you will explore the ancient Incan Temples and the Andean Valleys with amazing views of the Urubamba and Huayanay mountains. En-route to Machu Picchu you will visit an amazing stonework by the Incas and explore the 15th-century quarry site of Cachicata prior to arriving into the Inca town of Ollantaytambo. You follow the footsteps of the Incas who built a high route from their capital city Cuzco westward through the rugged cordillera and filled their empire with amazing temples and royal residences.
