Location
Grade II listed being of architectural and historic interest The Brick House dates back to the 18th Century with earlier origins. The house has some wonderful features of the period with high ceilings, deep sash windows with working shutters on the ground floor and fireplaces in all the principle rooms including the three larger bedrooms on the first floor. In need of refurbishment and updating throughout the house would benefit from re wiring, plumbing and the installation of central heating. In addition to the generous ground and first floor space there is an extensive cellar with three large rooms plus a store room and a large attic which extends over the whole house with natural light, so could be converted to create additional living space subject to the necessary planning consent and building regulation approval.
Available as a whole or separately the cottage, known as Pightle Cottage was converted into a separate dwelling from a former barn. Constructed of a timber frame, rendered with some classic Essex pargetting under a clay tiled roof the cottage could be used for a dependent relative or let out to create a useful income. The cottage has a large sitting room/dining room extending to nearly 33 feet with a fireplace at one end. On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms accessed via two separate staircases.
Outside
The grounds of The Brick House and Pightle Cottage are exceptional, originally designed around formal and symmetrical rose beds with grass paths and walkways running between. There are 2 fruit cages, a mature beech hedge runs along the northern boundary as protection and a screen and by the southern end of the garden there is a cherry orchard. There are some wonderful mature trees as well as some interesting specimen trees including Walnut, Ash, Sycamore, Yew and many others. The river Pant runs through the garden with two bridges traversing it connecting the two areas of garden. It is a haven of peace and tranquillity, completely un-overlooked in the middle of this unique village. There are various seating areas within the garden which provide superb vistas and views leading up to the church. In all the property comprises approximately1.3 acres.

Just a quick shot of the square
Another interesting Saturday in Finchingfield
Well it started when the house shook as the helicopter came over the house at about 60ft and landed on the green. Someone visitng the Fox was taken poorly though they didn't look too bad when taken away in an ambulance about half an hour later. Hope they'll be OK. Finally the air ambulance crew cleared the onlookers and then took off again. At the same time the church bells were ringing and the wedding guests from a very large (and rich!) wedding left from the church.

Interactive Installation // National Japanese American Historical Society Museum
On November 1, 1941, Japanese American men were recruited into a clandestine language program designed to train them to be soldier linguists and translators for the United States as it rallied its forces against an advancing Japanese Empire. Fiercely loyal, these men not only risked their lives, but did so as their very government imprisoned their families in internment camps.
Now for the first time their devotion, acts of bravery, and dramatic stories are made available through a ground-breaking interactive touch exhibit conceived, designed, and developed by Array Interactive. Perhaps our most important project to date, the experience leverages unique gaming strategies, motion graphics, and thematic audio to emotionally move audiences to a greater understanding and appreciation of their sacrifice.
This video set the stage for the experience and created a context for interactive, touch screen content.

Finchingfield 1st Place March 2012
First time out competing in 2012.
First time jumping at all for nearly 2 months.
And we won! Clever, clever pony.
I was very nervous before we went in as the fences from the second phase (which starts after the treble) were quite bit. It turns out I needn't have worried and George was feeling fresh and full of it. I also forgot the course a bit which played to our advantage in the jump off as I had to turn tightly. Fucking hell at his scope of jump number 5. I love my pony. ❤

Installation The Bedroom at the Van Gogh Museum.MOV
The Van Gogh Museum (Amsterdam) invited the AR Lab to present during their Friday Night event on the 28th of May, 2010. We made an installation based on the painting The Bedroom by Vincent van Gogh, which makes it possible for visitors to discover the painting in a playful way. The painting is shown on a big screen, and with the usage of a digitally modified spray-can visitors can reveal information normally not accessible, like x-ray, infrared and ultra violet images, or even the back of the painting!
The project was initialised by the AR Lab, which is part of the Royal Academy of Art (The Hague) and supervised by Wim van Eck. ArtScience student Matthijs Munnik was responsible for the interaction part of the project, and ArtScience student Arjen Zuidgeest was responsible for the interface.
On Friday the 27th of August the project was presented again at the Van Gogh Museum.
