My first vlog. We check out the coffee scene in Gukeng, Taiwan and share my first impressions of the local coffee at our first stop, the Green Tunnel.

Set in a converted farmhouse surrounded by fields, this whimsical bed-and-breakfast with a princess theme is a 10-minute walk from the Honey Museum, a 12-minute walk from go-kart racing at Green Tunnel Park, and 7 km from Dounan train station.
Warm, individually decorated rooms come with flat-screen TVs, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Individual touches consist of 4-poster beds, sitting areas, frilly fabrics and/or artwork.
Breakfast is served in an informal dining room that has exposed wood beams; dinner is available for a surcharge. Event space includes a glass-enclosed wedding chapel overlooking a pond.

Advanced new systems to detect traffic violations in Hsuehshan Tunnel to go online June 15
In a month from now, the National Freeway Bureau will be stepping up traffic enforcement in the Hsuehshan Tunnel with the use of new high-tech detection systems. Radar and laser technology installed on lanes in both directions will be able detect a range of violations including speeding, slow driving, and illegal lane changes, making it harder for violators to escape fines. Aside from cameras, catching dangerous drivers in the Hsuehshan Tunnel is up to highway patrol officers. But in roughly a month’s time, the National Freeway Bureau will install eight sets of radar and laser scanner systems in the tunnel which will work in tandem with traffic cameras to detect and identify traffic violators. Non-compliant drivers will soon have nowhere left to hide. Lai Lu-yuanNational Highway Police BureauThis is a very technological approach. The computer system uses automatic detection software to identify traffic violations, and then we’ll have personnel conduct a second round of checks to judge whether the violations are valid. The entire detection system is set to go into operation on June 15 and will help crackdown on traffic violations such as speeding, driving too slow and reckless lane changing. Each violation carries a fine of at least NT$3,000. Multiple fines for multiple violations are also fair game. During traffic jams, however, the system will work differently. Lai Lu-yuanNational Highway Police BureauFor speeding and illegal lane changes, the system in the Hsuehshan Tunnel will automatically detect those violations. When the flow of traffic grinds to a halt, the system will detect that and automatically halt detection activities. The high-tech monitoring system is designed to take a variety of road conditions into account when assessing traffic violations. But drivers will have to wait for June to see how accurate the sensors really are.

雲林古坑又稱為咖啡的故鄉，每年的咖啡節不只帶動了人潮也是當地最重視的盛事，這飄散出的濃濃咖啡香，絕對令人陶醉。此外，以兩排的芒果樹所組成的綠色走廊，雖沒其他地方的綠色隧道來的長，但清涼優雅的感覺一點也不遜色。

台灣近幾年十分重視綠色環保，許多縣市都有綠意盎然的「綠色隧道」，在雲林縣古坑鄉原台3 線公路，兩旁有長約3公里芒果行道樹，形成綠色樹蔭大道，也成為旅客到雲林必經之處。綠色隧道在省道拓寬時，地方人士為了保存特有的景觀，因此爭取保留了下來，後來成為綠色市集。每逢假日都吸引許多民眾騎著腳踏車，享受大樹下的蔭涼，順道採購農特產品，穿過綠色隧道進入湳仔社區，還有文創的新天地，也為當地帶來觀光人潮與商機。
