Gull River Kayak April 22, 2012

Keith and I took a trip down the Gull River. This route begins at the Gull Lake Recreation Area where the Gull River exits Gull Lake at the dam. It runs about five miles and then we get out at Highway 77. The river was very high, running at about 550 cfs which is the highest I have ever run it. Could have EASILY handled a canoe for the whole stretch.

The high current and no obstacles made for an easy paddle. Total trip time about 2 hours to go 5 miles, and that was with minimal stops for photos or fishing.
