GUYAM ISLAND - Siargao Island, Philippines

After Secret Island, ang last na itinerary at final destination na pupuntahan ay ang Guyam Island, Siargao. Mga 2-3 minutes away lang sya from Secret Island.

Ang Guyam Island sa Siargao ay isang pribadong beach resort. At ito ang pinakahuli sa Island Hopping destination.

May bayad po na P30 pesos for environmental fee ang Guyam Island, maiikot mo ang buong island na ito in less than 4-5 minutes lang.

Nung pumunta kami dyan, mainit ang tubig dyan kasi mga around 4pm na kami nakapunta.

Siargao Island contains the largest mangrove forest reserves in Mindanao, at Del Carmen.[citation needed] Long stretches of wetlands indicate a potential for commercial seaweed propagation. Siargao Island is greatly influenced by the winds and currents coming uninterrupted from the Pacific Ocean, intensified by the Mindanao current running westward through the Siargao Strait.

Offshore, a classic tropical island lies protected within its surrounding coral reef with dozens of coconut palms dressed in the center circle of the island. Off to the right, well within the massive coastal reef, lies a shining white sand bar, (Pansukian, or Naked island) some 200 meters long. The tide of Siargao is diurnal with tidal curves typically present, especially on the east coast of the island.

The island's Pacific-facing reefs are situated on the edge of the Philippine Trench, and the extremely deep offshore waters assure the ocean swells have undiluted power when they encounter the many coral and rock reefs. Siargao has excellent surfing conditions, particularly during the southwest habagat monsoon from August to November, when the prevailing wind is offshore.

There is also a small island near Siargao called Guyam Island. It is uninhabited and has become a popular stop for tourists doing island-hopping tours. The most popular tour includes a stop at Guyam, Naked Island (an exposed sandbar with not much else), and Dako Island.

The extensive mangrove forests of the western coast in the Del Carmen area are home to the Indo-Pacific saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus). A large specimen measuring 14 feet, 9 inches (4.5 meters) was found dead in 2016

In the past, Siargao Is. could be reached via a direct domestic flight from Manila to Surigao City and then by a ferry to the coastal towns of Dapa or Del Carmen in Siargao Islands. Now, Cebu Pacific has flights from Cebu-Siargao, vv as well as a direct Manila-Siargao route (it stops briefly in Cebu and passengers then switch to a smaller aircraft). There are plans to extend the runway of Sayak Airport in Siargao, to cater to the demands of growing tourists who will be visiting this island paradise. In March 2017, both Cebu Pacific and SkyJet airlines commenced direct flights to Sayak Airport (SOS) Siargao island from Manila Airport (MNL), the first direct flights to the island from the capital.

In continuation of our holiday in Siargao, we chose to go on a Tri-Island tour as joiners. we chose the tri-island tour only package beacause the other packages' sked were too tight for us. We wanted to swim, chill, drink and relax at a good pace. We thought it best to visit the main Siargao islands first and visit the neighboring islands some other time. The three islands we visited: Naked Island, Daku Island and Guyam Island.

Island Hoping - Tri island at Siargao (Naked, Daco, Guyam)

Our day two of our siargao travel exploring the tri island, naked, daco, and guyam island. Meeting new friends and experiencing the beauty of these islands. The Naked island is called naked because in the island you can't find a shade or a tree it is merely an island of white sand. The Daco island named because of the three island this island is the bigger one, Dako in surigaonon means big. Lastly, the Guyam island, from their local dialect Guyam means little. These islands has their unique beauty and you cannot keep from falling in love with them. Later that day, we change our location and went to General Luna and stayed at Jeanine residence.

Island Hopping in Siargao is very popular . The 3 islands that you can hop are NakedIsland, Daku Island and Guyam Island.
Naked island is your first destination. It is a small island and it is literally nakedbecause there is no trees but the sand is so white and the color of the water is astral blue. The second island is Daku island, the island is bigger. There are residence there, very nice people too. The beach and sand are so perfect for sun bathing. In this island you can eat your lunch and rent a cottage for P250-P300. You can buy fresh fish and meat from the market in General Luna and let someone cook your lunch in Daku island. Just pay P50 per kilo. Or you can order food from them. The third and last island is the Guyam island, it has an entrance fee 30 pesos. The island is smaller compare to Daku island but still the water and sand is perfect. And the charm of the island is the rock formation surrounding the island. Since it's your last destination you can just take you time for picture taking, enjoy the scenery and view. Take a dip and enjoy the sun.
