I had some Korea videos and forgot to share this great food adventure with you. This was during my trip to Korea in December 2017, where I went to Busan. And while in Busan I had to check out the street food markets. Enjoy! :-)

Mouthwatering BUSAN FOOD TOUR - KOREAN STREET FOOD at Jagalchi market + MORE
Subscribe for more food and travel videos:
BUSAN is a food paradise and when you visit there are a number of dishes you have got to EAT. We take you on a STREET FOOD tour of Busan’s famous foods…
We eat:
Eomuk
As a port city Busan is famous for its eomuk or fishcakes. There are countless street vendors selling this popular snack including tricked up versions featuring sausages, cheese and shellfish. Street food vendors selling fish eomuk are all over the city, otherwise Samjin are the most popular, commercialised eomuk eatery in Korea.
Yubu Jeomoni
These fried tofu bags stuffed with glass noodles and julienned vegetables are a firm winter favourite. Served in a warming broth the tofu soaks up the flavoursome soup and helps beat away those chills. Look out for these at the street carts in BIFF Square.
Milmeyon
Milmyeon or wheat noodles are a popular dish to eat in summer when they are served cold. Chewy noodles languish in an icy cold broth (sheets of ice are added to the broth) together with cucumber, pear, slices of beef and a dollop of gochujang sauce. It might not be the most ideal thing to be eating in the winter time but it sure is tasty! We ate at at Halmae Gaya Milmyeon, 부산광역시 Jung-gu, Gwangbok-dong, Gwangbok-ro, 56-14. Open daily 10:15am to 9:30pm.
Dwaeji Gukbap
Pork rice soup- a dish that’s said to be hard to find outside of Busan. Pork bones are boiled for long hours before soy, rice wine and other aromatics are added to the broth. The resulting milky broth is served with thinly sliced pork and rice as a watery porridge with a dollop of gochujang (Korean red pepper paste) to which fermented, salted shrimp, garlic, kimchi, garlic chives and ssamjang can be added. Delicious and hearty! We ate at Pohang Dwaeji Gukbap, 25, Seomyeon-ro 68beon-gil, Busanjin-gu, Busan 47286.
Ssiat Hotteok
This Korean seed pancake is totally addictive. A glutinous rice flour dough is stuffed with a sugar and cinnamon mixture before being shallow fried in a pan of butter or oil. Once golden and crispy it’s cut open and filled with pumpkin, sunflower and sesame seeds. As you bite into the hotteok the cinnamon sugar oozes out. You can find ssiat hotteok all over Busan including at BIFF Square, Gukje Market and street vendors in Seomyeon.
Seafood feast
Jalgachi Fish market is the biggest seafood market in Korea. It’s a bustling, exciting place to visit and spend a couple of hours watching the vendors selling and customers buying every type of seafood imaginable. On the outskirts of the market are a number of restaurants serving fried fish lunch sets.

Gim 김, also romanized as Kim, is the Korean name for edible seaweed species in the genera Pyropia and Porphyra, including P. Tenera, P. Yezoensis, P. Suborbiculata, P. Pseudolinearis, P. Dentata, and P. Seriata.
The red algae genera are also consumed in Japanese cuisine, where it is known as Nori, and in Wales and Ireland, where it is known as laverbread.
Along with Miyeok (brown seaweed) and Dasima (Kelp), Gim is one of the most widely cultivated and consumed types of seaweed in Korea.
It is commonly eaten as a Banchan (side dish) and used to make seaweed rice rolls known as Gimbap.

————
Today, we walked in Nampo-dong, Jagalchi Market, and Gwangbok-dong.
I'm sure some of you have traveled to Busan with your lodgings in Gwangbok-dong.
Nampo-dong and Gwangbok-dong were especially crowded with Japanese residential facilities.
There is a history of Yongdusan Park, where facilities such as the Choryang Exterior were concentrated, and the Gwangbok-ro Cultural Street, where cherry blossoms were in full bloom.
I walked on it, thinking it over again.

BUSAN & SEOUL, KOREA 2017 PART 3 | Haeundae Beach, Oryukdo, Yonggungsa Temple | jasminekokoro
↡ OPEN ME UP! ↡
The last part of the 2017 Korea travel vlog series: Busan and Seoul, is up!! Even though it’s already 2019 HAHA. Do refer to the list below for the places that I have visited in Busan and Seoul. If you are interested in the places I visited in Seoul and Jeju Island, you can refer to Part 1 and Part 2 of the vlog series!
I personally prefer Busan over Jeju because I’m more of a city person and Busan is a nice mix of city and countryside so it is not as busy as Seoul but not as quiet as Jeju! I will be going to Busan for semester exchange later this year and I’m really looking forward to it.
⌲ Places I visited:
Jagalchi Market: 52, Jagalchihaean-ro, Jung-gu, Busan
Gwangbok-dong Cultural & Fashion Street: Sinchang-dong & Gwangbok-dong, Jung-gu, Busan-si
Gwangbokdong Food Street: Gwangbok-dong, Jung-gu, Busan-si
Yongdusan Park: 37-55, Yongdusan-gil, Jung-gu, Busan

Gukje Market, the largest traditional market in Busan, is a place steeped in history. Gukje Market humbly began during the Korean War in 1950 as a place for war refugees to try to eke out a living, soon growing into a large, busy market. Even today, the area is bursting with the old-fashioned marketplace spirit, similar to that of Namdaemun Market in Seoul. Shops in Gukje Market sell an assortment of new and used items. Since vendors deal in both wholesale and retail sales, the average customer can purchase various items at incredibly inexpensive prices. Though still one of Korea’s most popular markets, the Gukje Market used to be the very center of commerce as both military supplies for the U.S. armies and imported goods came through the neighboring port city. The Market is located near several other tourist attractions in Busan: the Bupyeong Market, Jagalchi Market, and Nampo-dong.
