Day trip to GYODA, Saitama, Japan from Tokyo
This is a video all about my day trip to Gyoda city in Saitama prefecture Japan. Which is around an hours train ride away from Tokyo central station.
For my visit, I went to:
- See the rice field art from the observation deck of the Kodai Hasu no Sat.
- Saitama Kofun park
- museum of the Saitama ancient burial mounds
- Try the local Jelly fries and Tambo at Kodai hasu no sato
- Visit a traditional sock factory - Kineya tabi
- Grab lunch at ANDO for Soba noodle
- Oshi Castle
- Tasting Jyumangoku manjyu

Tekken Taro (鉄剣タロー） sits on route 17 in Gyoda City.
There are food vending machines and video games in the one story building.
Tekken Taro started its business in 1988 and it's open 24/7, 365 days a year.
It's 30th anniversary.

There are some places that aren't mentioned in Japanese Tour Guide Books that are well worth seeing! Japan is home to some of the latest technology in the world, but sometimes it's the retro vintage classic Japanese technologies that still seem ultra modern despite their real age! Vintage Japanese Vending Machines are one of those things and for Steve, it was a first time experience to travel to Saitama Gyoda City to experience a place called Tekken Taro, a Game Center and Vending Machine shop with 40 and 50 year old machines that are still dispensing Ramen, Soba, Udon, Ham Sandwiches and Hamburgers just like they did many many years ago!!! For Steve the experience was awesome and he hopes others will find their way to this terrific place and help support it so it does not disappear from history!

埼玉県行田市のさきたま古墳は、関東地区でも有数の桜の名所として知られています。中でも丸墓山古墳では、古墳の頂上に大きな３本のさくらの木が咲き誇り、多くの観光客を楽しませてくれます。
この古墳の周りにも古墳を囲むように桜の木々が茂っており、古墳の頂上からの眺望も楽しみの一つです。
Beautiful cherry blossom trees at Sakitama Kofun (ancient Japanese tomb). Located in Gyoda, Saitama. There are 3 big cherry blossom trees on the top of this burial mound. This historical scenery attracts many people as well as the view from the top of this mound.
