Gyotoku Bird Observatory Sun. afternoon bird watching tour
I joined their bird watching tour on Sun. Feb. 27, 2011 from 13:30-15:30. There weren't a lot of birds there because of the strong winds, but it was a sunny day and we got a lot of exercise walking around this HUGE bird sanctuary. :-)

To Reopen Gyotoku Wild Bird Observatory, WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We are volunteer workers who love Gyotoku Wild Bird Observatory located in Ichikawa-city, Chiba-prefecture, Japan. Since 1979, Gyotoku Wild Bird Observatory has been an oasis for bird lovers from all over Japan, and a place for local children to learn about nature and the environment.
The aging building is losing its antiseismic strength, and it is on theverge of being permanently closed by Chiba-prefecture. We need your Help to reopen Gyotoku Wild Birds Observatory,and to keep it going.
