【4K】Windy day in Numazu, Shizuoka
Not a vlog, no intrusive faces or talking, pure Japan only.
I was asked to go to Numazu multiple times and now I did it. It was filmed next day after Niiigata and same day as Atami video.
Not sure is it just such weather or place itself, but it was very windy.
I walked from the station through the city, along the river, to port where I got to the top of sea gates.

The Midwinter Underwater Ablution Festival, a traditional event held around the 15th of the New Year at Obama Beach in Ushibuseyama Park, which is also the 100 Treasures of Numazu, is a Shinto ritual in which portable shrines that have been transferred from the shrine descend from the beach, and a heroic event in which new adults and adult shrine parishioners who ward off evil carry the portable shrines and perform a ritual in the sea is on display.
There is also a shagiri performance by local groups, and visitors can also participate in mizukake and mochimaki. The sweet sake is also delicious. The mikoshi that goes out to the sea in the middle of winter is the highlight!

Exploring attractions in and around the seaside town of Ito, Shizuoka, Japan!
Ito is another hot spring city along the peninsula's eastern coast, only about 15 kilometers south of Atami. Inside Ito's municipal limits lies Izu Kogen, a pleasant resort town with more hot springs and the nearby scenic Jogasaki coast.
The Jogasaki Coast is a beautiful section of coastline along the Izu Peninsula's eastern coast. An almost ten kilometer long hiking trail with beautiful views of the jagged cliffs and stone formations follows the coast.
The section around the 23 meter long and 48 meter high Kadowakizaki suspension bridge attracts the most tourists and is easily accessible from the parking area.

【4K】Walking on Miyajima (Itsukushima)

I finally went to Hiroshima and Miyajima was the final destination but I decided to make its video the first. I could use here my drone, hope you like it. Accidentally I enabled one of scene modes so that is why colours are so bright I hope it's not that bad.
In this video you may see mud, seaweeds, Miyajima Torii, shrines, shops, people, deer, more deer, and deer feeding. Unfortunately Itsukushima shrine was too crowded and filming was prohibited.

【4K】Night walking from Iriya to Yoshiwara and Sumida river

As weekend was too rainy and I was too lazy to go outside. To regain walking time I decided to do it after work. One of viewers suggested Yoshiwara which is not that far from usual way home. So I started from Iriya station near Ueno and walked to the east. I found were shrines still opened this time with nice lights. So I walked to east till reached Sumida river with Skytree tower on opposite side.

【4K】Walking in Kamogawa town and Niemonjima

Last weekend I found one request for Niemonjima. As it was in Chiba I decided it should not be far, well, I was wrong.
i got up at 9 and at 10am went to Chiba station as it was big transfer as i remembered from yesterday directions. And only after spending an hour to get there I found that the way to Futomi station takes another 2 hours and I missed a train and the next is next hour. So, I got to Futomi station only at 3:30pm.
Island is very small and the only way there is a hands-powered boat with pretty high price for two ways. But for such small island you can find here a shrine, a garden, small museum, a souvenir shop, BBQ spot, rocks and the sea.
After the island I flew a bit from the pier over the sea and then walked in Futomi town.

Subaru Impreza Fujisan and Shizuoka Prefecture roadtrip - Part 2
Some footage from a road trip with my girlfriend around Shizuoka Prefecture on January 2, 2016.
Part 2 covers the area from the Mizugatsuka Park parking lot on the southern slopes of Fujisan to the Makaino Farm in Fujinomiya.
The car was a fourth generation Subaru Impreza from Nippon Rent-A-Car near Yokohama Station.

The small shrine at 45:40 is for Tengu( a mythical creature with two wings, you can see two bronze Tengu statues at 44:44) and those Getas are their shoes. Geta usually has two teeth but their Geta has one long tooth.
People usually donate something related to whoever inshrined. Actually, left side Tengu (with a beak) is called Karasu Tengu, he is a retainer of Tengu (right side with a long nose, also called Dai-Tengu) and he doesn't wear Geta like Tengu.

After Yuzawa I traveled further to north to Tokamachi town. I planned to start from flying and switch to walking but the way took longer than I expected, so I did opposite. Such towns are not lighten much and after getting dark there would be nothing to film.

Heda - Shizuoka - 静岡県沼津市戸田 - 4K Ultra HD
Located on the west side of the Izu peninsula, Heda is one of those small Japanese fishing villages that time seems to have left alone. Granted in Heda you will find some very impressive fishing boats alongside some rather modest ones, but the place has something hard to describe that makes it unique. It feels like a place has been left alone and cut off from the rest of Japan, making it unique and beautiful at the same time.
But Heda’s beauty is not only due to its “uniqueness”, but also comes from things like its gorgeous beach, hidden shrine and stunning view of Mt. Fuji. The combination of these things make Heda a highly recommended location to visit for anyone curious about the real Japan.
