The Water City | Gujo Hachiman 名水の町・郡上八幡
Gujo Hachiman, also known as the Water City! It's just about in the middle of Gifu Prefecture, and I highly, highly recommend visiting!! It's a mountain city with rivers running through the middle. There are koi fish everywhere, you can jump into the water, and the are tons of old-fashioned stores with awesome things to look at. I absolutely loved it!

島原の街を散策します。
湧水庭園四明荘は、湧き水の池がある庭が素晴らしい。
外からだけではなく、屋敷の中からも庭を見せてもらえます。
そして島原城。
天守閣からは有明海や雲仙岳が見えます。

I take a walk through a town in Shimabara.
Shimabara is famous for spring water.
A garden with a pond of spring water is wonderful in Shimei-Sou.
It's possible to enter in the building and see a garden.
Shimabara castle.
It's possible to see Ariake-kai and Unzendake from the top floor.

Shimabara Castle, Japan, 2019
Shimabara Castle (島原城 Shimabara-jō), also known as Moritake Castle (森岳城 Moritake-jō) and Takaki Castle (高来城 Takaki-jō), is a Japanese castle located in Shimabara ... Shimabara Castle is a flatland castle (平城 Hirajiro), located between Ariake Bay and Mount Unzen. The outer moats, some 15 meters deep and between 30–50 meters wide, extended 360 meters east-west and 1260 meters north-south, with the enclosed area divided into three baileys. The walls extended for 3900 meters and had 16 yagura of various sizes at key points. The main donjon had five stories, and a height of 33 meters, and was connected to two secondary keeps, each with three stories. In terms of scale, it was far larger than normal for a daimyō with revenues of only 40,000 koku. Wkipedia
Agricultural Festival in Shimabara Japan
This was the agricultural festival one of my high schools had. The students had the opportunity to show off the things they had learned and created over the year and even got to sell a lot of it.
The Taiko club performed quite a few times and I tried to catch most of them.
There was a market area, two restaurants, school club stations with activities, Taiko performances throughout the days, a petting zoo, and an FFJ competition with cows (a second year girl took first, and a second year girl took second).
Harie Shozu-no-sato - Shiga - 針江生水の郷 - 4K Ultra HD
Not too far from the beautiful torii of Shirahige Shrine, you will find the small village of Harie and its unique feature: free water! Thanks to its several rather easily accessible water springs Harie, also know in Japanese as “Shozu-No-Sato” or The Village of Pure Water” offers access to free and delicious water directly from the homes on pretty much every street of Harie.
People living in Harie are very proud of their spring water. They use it daily to not only drink but also wash their vegetables and even keep Koi Carp as personal pets. Limiting Harie to its gorgeous spring water will not be fair, as Harie is a magnificent little village frozen in time ideal to do away with your stress and worries.

Walk Around The City of Water Matsue, Japan
Matsue (pop: 200,000) is located on the Ohashi River along the shore of Lake Shinji (Japan's 7th largest lake). With many little canals, the city is known as The City of Water.
Most of Matsue's attractions are in a compact area and can easily be enjoyed in a day or two of sightseeing.

Rainy day at Yoyogi - [Japan Vlog]
Was supposed to go hiking today, but woke to a dripping wet morning. Changed plans, made a visit to the normally bustling Yoyogi park, which has donned a shade of subdued melancholy for the day.
Not sure I'm gonna keep doing this, but I'll be vlogging my way through my Japan trip for as long as I don't get bored of it I guess.

People were allowed to go down and gather the lotus roots from Shimabara Castle. They could be weighed and turned in for a prize or kept by the finders.

Imperial Palace East Gardens are beautiful at every time of the year. I visited in August. Although it's definitely not the best time to go, it was still amazing.
