A day trip to Utsunomiya in Tochigi, Japan.
The quarry is the Oya stone quarry. In 1922 Frank Lloyd Wright used this stone in his design for the old Imperial Hotel in Tokyo.
These days Utsunomiya is most famous for its gyoza, and very nice they were.
