【Long ver.】The Japanese Traditional Arts Hachinohe Sansha Taisai Festival （english）
The Hachinohe Sansha Taisai helps decorate Hachinohe's short summer season.
Accompanied by traditional shrine processions and lively Japanese folk music, the gorgeous floats
evoke images of Japan's feudal era.
Boasting a history of over 290 years, the Hachinohe Sansha Taisai has been designated as a National Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property.
The most notable highlight is the procession of mikoshi (portable shrines) from Ogami Shrine, Chojasan Shinra Shrine and Shinmei-gu Shrine, as well as the parade of floats (sansha) featuring subjects such as mythological figures and kabuki characters. As the floats which can reach heights of 10m and widths of 8m pass by, spectators often shout with joy. The night time parade of illuminated floats seems to hover in the night air and creates a fantastical atmosphere that provides a completely different way to enjoy the festivities.
Every year for the 5 days from July 31 to August 4, Hachinohe is enveloped in a unique excitement.

Afternoon in Aomori
The guys are hungry for some ramen and go searching for a very popular restaurant in Aomori with a special dish: Butter Ramen!! An Aomori specialty and damn is it good! Then the guys head over to the visitor center by the famous Aomori bridge for an unobstructed view of the city from the observation deck. After a full day of hangin' out, they grab a quick beer and board the train back to Misawa. This is the final of a 3-part Aomori episode.

The observation deck at [ Michinoeki Utonai Lake] Road Station on February 25, 2019 seems to be completed in a little more.

Japan's Most Terrifying Bridge: Eshima Ohashi ★ ONLY in JAPAN #33
It's been nicknamed the ROLLER COASTER BRIDGE because of it's super steep slope and appearance of being a bridge to the sky.
That's the Eshima Ohashi Bridge straddling Shimane and Tottori prefecture in Japan.
Facts about the Eshima Ohashi:
★ 1,446 meters long
★ 250 meters of continupus concrete in the center (the third longest Ramen bridge in the world!)
★ 6.1% grade slope on the Shimane Prefecture side
★ 5.1% grade on the Tottori side
★ The bridge needed to be high in the center to allow large shops to pass under.
☆ From the Shimane side, you can get the optical illusion view at the end of the street by the sea.
☆ If you have a good telephoto lens, go even further to the other side of the sea for a better shot. (Map below)
The bridge has a good pedestrian footpath on both sides of the road.
Bicycles are not allowed on the footpath so stay on the main road with the car, to the left side.
There is an observation point on the top that offers sweeping views all the way to Daisen (mountain).
The closest major access point is Yonago Station and airport on the Sea of Japan. From there, take a train to Sakaiminato and rent a bicycle or grab a taxi.
Sakaiminato is also famous for Japanese anime and the main street is like a museum of monsters!
The bridge is a 20 minute ride from Sakai Minato.
Take food with you from the station.

► Nonbei Yokocho (Drinkers Alley) is one of those kinds of areas, that just made me fall in love with Tokyo on my fist visits here. Located in the teenage fashion capital of Shibuya (opposite Hachiko side!) making it even more amazing, to find a hidden gem like this, that seems unchanged since WW2. Charming little alleys with old school Japanese waterholes, offering beer, sake and grilled Yakitori sticks.
Most of the establishments are small family businesses that seats only 4-6 people.
The atmosphere of the place is probably the closest thing to timetravel - it oozes charm & atmosphere of bygone times. - I can't stress it enough, if you are going to Tokyo, you MUST visit this place. And don't just walk around and look like a tourist, but find a friendly looking place, go on in - order some beer and yakitori, talk to the locals. That is what this place is all about. - Enjoy!
