Japan is my favorite place on the planet and I recently got to spend a week there as a guest of the Japan National Tourism Organization, and here's what happened. This is our first stop, Aomori City. I managed to dip my toes into a thousand person bath, eat apples in multiple ways, and even threw in a 5.9 earthquake for good measure. Afternoon in Aomori
The guys are hungry for some ramen and go searching for a very popular restaurant in Aomori with a special dish: Butter Ramen!! An Aomori specialty and damn is it good! Then the guys head over to the visitor center by the famous Aomori bridge for an unobstructed view of the city from the observation deck. After a full day of hangin' out, they grab a quick beer and board the train back to Misawa. This is the final of a 3-part Aomori episode.

それなのに、さっそく二次会に行きますよ。
一次会の店の向かい側。
普通の大型居酒屋さんです。
でも、ここもかなりの評判のお店。
ここの名物メニュー。
エビの変わり揚げ。
エビに、ゴボウの衣をつけて揚げたの。
おいし～。
そして、しいたけのバター焼き。
バターの味としいたけの旨みがとてもよい。
せっかくの東北なんで、日本酒でいただきました。

It is the deep-fried shrimp.
There is a burdock on the surface.
The delicious.
Butter grilled shiitake mushrooms.
This is also delicious.
I drank sake.
