Hadano Tobacco Festival, Japan. Fireworks and food! - 秦野たばこ祭
I went to a sort of local, but quite big festival in Hadano, Japan. Hadano is a city on the Odakyu line, not so far from Odawara.
The city used to make Tobacco leafs, but now they don't. I'm not sure what it's celebrated for now, but they had people walking through with fire, a cool firework display along the river and festival food.
I tried different food, especially Kakigori (shaved ice) and bananas covered in chocolate.
I love festivals in Japan, and this was a great festival. The festival happens at the end of September every year, so I recommend going to the festival.

Hadano in Kanagawa prefecture was one of the original towns in Japan to grow tobacco from the Edo era. Every year they celebrate the history with a large festival. The parade is one of the attractions besides other large events including the firework that concludes the festival (see YouTube: This was held on September 23, 2018.

As we edged into 2013, here are the highlights from the New Year's Eve 2012 family 15 minutes fireworks display at Belmore Basin, Wollongong Harbour, New South Wales, Australia.
On a beautiful evening, families gather on the shores of the harbour and the Tasman Sea area of the South Pacific to watch the 9.30pm display.

Firewroks at Tamagawa2013 (Kawasaki side)
The annual fireworks show at Tamagawa on the Kawasaki side. There is also a fireworks show on the same day on the Tokyo side. Hundreds if not thousands of people come every year to view the fireworks set off on the banks of the Tamagawa river.

August, 2012. Went to see the Itami fireworks show, an Osaka natsu-matsuri, summer festival. There was a lot of people there! And a lot of fireworks! And even a fireworks show set to an AKB48 song, an extremely popular teen idol group. You can also see some Osaka takoyaki in the making!

005. Conheça HADANO (神奈川県秦野市) by Gilberto Yano
A cidade de Hadano (秦野市) está localizada nas colinas do centro-oeste da Província de Kanagawa. Cerca de metade da área da cidade está dentro dos limites do Tanzawa-Ōyama National Park.
A cidade constitui-se de um importante centro de comércio e da indústria do tabaco.
Nesse dia, pude presenciar a comemoração do Dia das Crianças “Koinobori”, que significa serpentina de carpa em japonês, são birutas em forma de carpa, onde tradicionalmente ficam voando para comemorar o Tango no Sekku (端午の節句). Se tornou um evento tão tradicional, que agora é designado um feriado nacional, Dia das Crianças (Kodomo no Hi, 子供の日). Estas “meias de vento” são compostas por desenhos de carpa, que podem ser confeccionadas no papel, pano ou algum outro tecido. Em seguida são penduradas e devem ficar se agitando com o vento, que é bem forte nessa época.

この日の音曲座は去年に引き続きShakatakのNight Birdsからスタート。ベースのシューヘイは無線シールドで客席に降りてプレイを披露。受けてました(^_^)
実はこの曲、たばこ祭りミュージックフェスタ実行委員長のお気に入りらしいんです。
全5曲＋サウンドチェック曲１曲をやり終えて、去年のようなカメムシ騒動もなく、無事ステージを終了。メデタシ・メデタシ(^_^)
