THINGS TO DO IN BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA 2017 - Gukje Market Street Food, Haeundae Beach, Geumjeongsan -
Are you heading to Busan in South Korea in 2017? Looking for Things to Do in Busan? Busan is South Korea's second largest city and definately has a different feel to Seoul!
In this video I check out 5 top Activities in Busan and Places to Visit -
1 - Nampo Markets - Gukje Market Street Food (Tteokbokki)
2 - Yeongdo Bridge and Statue
3 - Haeundae Beach
4 - Gwamgalli Beach
5 - Geumjeongsan Peak
FIRST WORLD TRAVELLER'S VERDICT - I loved Busan! It really is different from Seoul, more laid back, more 'gritty' in a way and less developed. Despite this there are still so many interesting things to see. I will never be a fan of KOREAN STREET FOOD (SORRY!), but the climb up Geumjeongsam literally made my day, as you can see in this video!
Food info -
Tteokbokki - stir fried rice cakes in a chilli sauce (or sweet & sour or soy sauce) with meat, usually beef.
O-Muk - Korean Fishcake
Hoddeok - filled Korean pancake

HAEUNDAE BEACH | Busan, South Korea
해운대해수욕장 - Walking along Haeundae Beach, Busan, Korea
Haeundae Beach (Hangul: 해운대해수욕장; Hanja:海雲臺海水浴場; RR: Hae'undae haesuyokjang) is a beach located in Busan, South Korea, and is often considered one of Korea's most famous and beautiful beaches. Haeundae Beach, which is 1.5km long, is located in the Eastern part of Busan, in the Haeundae District. It is accessible from Haeundae Station on Line 2, and it takes approximately 40 minutes to reach the beach by subway from Busan Station in the city's historic area, and less than one hour from Gimhae International Airport.
Haeundae Beach is often considered Busan and South Korea's, along with Gwangalli Beach (Busan), Gyeongpo Beach (Gangneung) or Hyeopjae Beach (Jeju City). Due to its length, beauty, and because of its easy access from downtown Busan, the beach is busy year-round, and holds numerous festivals. Haeundae is also closely associated with cinema, as it partly hosts the Busan International Film Festival, and was featured prominently in the 2009 disaster movie Tidal Wave.
The beach is popular with Korean tourists, although it has recently seen an afflux or foreign tourists, from China, Japan and Western countries. The beach and surrounding area is particularly crowded during the summer months of July and August. Amongst the sights of Haeundae are Dongbaekseom, at the West end of the beach, which is a popular fishing area. Oryukdo, a group of small islets East of the beach, are also considered a symbol of Busan. The neighborhood surrounding Haeundae is home to most of Busan's expatriate population.
There are many beach-related cultural events in Haeundae. Along with Geumjeongsan and Dalmajigogae, Haeundae is one of the most popular spots in Busan to view the New Year sunrise, a popular tradition in Korea. In addition, the Polar Bear Club, a popular beach event during which participants bathe in near 0°C water, is held annually since 1988 in January in front of the Chosun Beach Hotel.
Due to its fame, Haeundae is considered one of the most expensive areas in Korea, and the most expensive outside of the Seoul Capital Area. This has led to numerous urban development projects near Haeundae Beach and the nearby Marine City, including supertall skyscrapers such as Haeundae Doosan We've the Zenith and Haeundae LCT The Sharp.

KOREAN STREET FOOD ♦ Seafood at Haeundae Beach, Busan
What's Korean street food like next to Haeundae Beach? Today we're trying fresh seafood, specifically Sea Cucumber (haesam/해삼) and Turban Shell (sora/소라). The sea cucumber looks unreal with its texture and colors. A bit alien-like if you ask me! Watch the video to find out how it tastes :)

HAEUNDAE BEACH BUSAN + First Bibimbap and Bus to Suncheon | South Korea Travel
Today we spent the morning at Haeundae Beach in Busan. The beach was lovely (if a little chilly) and fairly quiet too.
We found a cute (and high-tech) restaurant near the beach where Rob tried his first bibimbap and Jenny tucked into some tasty noodles.
The afternoon was spent trekking across Busan to the bus station to catch the bus to Suncheon, where we will be for the next couple of days!

We hope you are enjoying our South Korea Travel vlogs, make sure you check all the other Rob and Jenny vlogs. Busan really surprised us as the things to do in Busan were incredible and very few blogs or vlogs even suggest to visit any other city than Seoul. Plus getting around South Korea by bus is very easy and so the bus from Busan to Suncheon took no time at all. Even the South Korean Train Travel that we did over the coming days was extremely easy and reasonably priced!

Haeundae Beach, Busan, South Korea
Haeundae Beach is the most famous beach in Busan. The white sand beach is roughly 1.5km long, over a 30~50m wide area, creating a beautiful coastline before a shallow bay, making Haeundae Beach perfect for swimming. This is why I chose to stay at Haeundae, because it's in between every place that I want to go and you can go anytime at the most famous beach in South Korea
