大正時代（1912～1926）初めに造られた花車（かしゃ）と神輿（みこし）が、子どもたちの健やかな成長と無病息災を願いながら町内を巡行する山北町の「道祖神祭」が14日、同町山北地区（庭）で行われる。山北地区連合自治会（清水明会長）の主催。
花飾りや提灯で飾り付けられた花車6台（萩原庭、池田庭、鶴野田中庭、馬場田中庭、清水庭、宮万庭）と神輿3基（杉の木庭、梶山庭、宮下庭）は午後零時半、JR御殿場線山北駅前に勢揃い。神事の後、子どもたちが演奏する川村囃子の音に送られて駅前を午後1時に出発。JR山北駅前～萩原地蔵尊～樋口橋～宮坂商店～室生神社～JA事業所前～JR山北駅前へと戻る西回りルートで巡行。JR御殿場線のガード（高さ2.9メートル）では、高さ約3.8メートルの花車の上部（笠）を取り外して通行する。道祖神は、大正9年（1920）に始まり、昭和34年（1959）から同45年（1970）まで一時中断。翌46年に復活し、郷土の伝統行事を守り続けている。花車には、出産や小学校入学など子どもの健やかな成長を願う家庭から奉納された提灯が飾られている。

岸では４月第１週の日曜日に開催される八幡神社例大祭に子ども達が引く３台の花車とともに行われます。楽器の構成は 笛１・大太鼓１・締太鼓（小太鼓）３・摺鉦１ です。

In the late Edo period, it was established to the Yoda Shrine of the shore from the old town, and furthermore as the festival music of the Muroto shrine of Yamakita from the shore, it was established even to the Dogenosin festival.
Although it temporarily declined after the war, it revived, and now it is transmitted by preservation society of Yamakita, Kishi. The music is assembled from five songs Shashin Shitara Kanda Hayashi (Kanda Maru) Kamakura 4 chome, has a distinctive style and is rich in variety.
In Yamakita, it will be held with the flower car at the Muro Shrine festival large festival on November 3rd and the Daigojin festival in the middle of January. The composition of the instrument is a large drum 3, a small drum 12, a slide 3, a flute 3.
On the shore is done with three flower cars children draw at the Yahata Shrine example large festival to be held on Sunday of the first week of April. The composition of the instrument is flute 1 · big drum 1 · compact drum (small drum) 3 · sliding 1.
