Hahei - NEW ZEALAND [VLOG]
Hi Everyone,
We start this new year and one of the best places to be is Hahei, a magical place. We hope you like it and don’t forget to subscribe in our YouTube channel =D
HAHEI
Hahei is a village on the Coromandel Peninsula, in New Zealand. Pohutukawa trees frame sheltered Hahei Beach, which has views of Mahurangi Island. To the north, Te Whanganui-A-Hei Marine Reserve encompasses many bays, including Cathedral Cove with its towering limestone arch. Gemstone Bay’s colorful reefs are home to fish and crayfish. To the south, Hot Water Beach is known for natural hot springs beneath the sand.

Exploring Coromandel, Hahei | NZ The Perfect Weekend - Breathtaking Views!
PLEASE WATCH IN HD
We went to Coromandel last weekend to go camping to unwind, relax and recover in nature with an amazing group of friends. We had heaps of fun exploring, swimming, paddle boarding sight seeing and camping. As well as camping in Hahei Holiday Resort was an amazing experience.
This is possibly my BEST VIDEO travel footage I have captured to date, thanks to my new drone and hand held gimbal stabilizer giving me the new perspective of aerial shots and steady smooth videos.
Special thanks to:

Adventures in Hahei, New Zealand
After meeting Brando Yelavich in Hahei, he showed us a new way to travel along the rugged Coromandel coast. Having spent two years walking the entire coastline of New Zealand by himself, he was the perfect guide for swimming through caves, rockclimbing, and backflipping our way through Hahei. Be sure to pick up his book, Wildboy, and visit his website at wildboyadventures.com to see more epic adventures.

Cathedral Cove
Cathedral Cove Walk
Located at Hahei on the Coromandel peninsula, Cathedral Cove is one of the “must visit” sites on the Coromandel. It's a very popular tourist destination so visit at sunrise or early evening if you want to avoid the crowds.
But first it is important to know that the car park at the start of the track is closed, it's now only a drop-off zone, but you have a few other options to consider:
1) free parking is available at the entrance to the village instead, from there walk via the beach to the start of the walk, or
2) Use the park and ride shuttle bus available from the free parking area (It costs $5 return per person, $3 for a child and $10 for a family (2 adults 2 children)
For more up to date rates please visit: or
3) Use the water taxi service that runs from Hahei beach which is $15 per person per trip
4) Or pay a local who offers parking on their property, this might vary but we paid $10, we found this quite convenient and close to the start of the track.
Disclaimer:
All prices mentioned was valid at the time this video was uploaded, please visit the provided links for more up-to-date rates and information.
Cathedral Cove is accessible only by foot, boat or kayak, and is considered one of best short walks you can do, it offers stunning views of the Coromandel coast and takes you past dramatic cliff formations to where it ends at the iconic rock archway of Cathedral Cove.
Along the way you have 2 other side tracks which is well worth the visit, The first one is Gemstone bay which offers excellent snorkeling.
Next up is Stingray bay, this must be one of the most beautiful beaches on the Coromandel! white sand, dramatic white cliffs and turquoise water.
From here is the last stretch to Cathedral Cove, the whole track is well graded but has some really long and steep hill sections.
All drone use must be authorized by DOC
A concession is required to fly a drone on any public conservation land - see Recreational drone use and Commercial drone use for more information.

Cathedral Cove - Walk to Hahei Beach ☀️ Coromandel, New Zealand ????????
NZ Department of Parks and Recreation Link:
Beautiful travel experience and amazing beach in Coromandel, New Zealand. Cathedral Cove is a 45-minute walk from the parking lot to the beach. If you are sightseeing, you should bring plenty of water to drink. There are no restrooms, showers or amenities on the beach. The scenery is extremely beautiful and the hike is not too rigorous. Rated one of the top travel experiences in New Zealand. It was really fun to explore Coromandel, New Zealand and visit this amazing beach. In Maori: Te Whanganui-A-Hei (Recorded in 2013)

Kayaking Hahei, New Zealand.
Hahei is a Kayakers wonderland with a relatively calm bay to launch from, beautiful clear water and STUNNING caves to venture in and out of. A short 2 hour drive from where we live in Tauranga, the region around Hahei is probably best known for Cathedral Cove just to the North, and for Hotwater Beach to the South, which is popular among tourists who come to dig holes in the sand and sit in hot baths of water which rise from many kilometres beneath the surface. The area is an incredible place by Sea, or by land so be sure to 'stop in' if you're ever in New Zealand. Kia ora.
