Saturday we visited the Haigh Hall Miniature Railway,it took some finding but well worth it.
Many thanks to the members of the railway for allowing us to film from areas not used by the public.

Haigh Hall is a historic country house in Haigh, Metropolitan Borough of Wigan, Greater Manchester, England. It has been designated a Grade II* listed building by English Heritage.
On Sunday 18th may 2014 Our popular vintage and retro craft fair is back at the impressive Haigh Hall on Sunday 18th May 2014, 10am-4pm, with a Swinging 60's theme. There will be a wide range of stalls selling vintage and retro clothing, accessories, home wear, collectables and china dating from 1920's -- 1980's, as well as handmade jewellery, gifts, cupcakes and chocolate. There will be live entertainment throughout the day from a band playing songs from the 60's (as well as other decades). In addition, there will be retro cars parked outside the Hall (weather permitting). Finally, you can take a break from shopping by sitting back and relaxing with a cup of tea and cake at Haigh Halls café, while absorbing the truly wonderful venue.

Haigh Hall Tour. Haunted? 4K
Unrestricted access to Haigh Hall In Wigan. We explore the basements and the upper floors of the famous Stately home in Wigan in Exclusive, never before seen footage.
Creepy goings on including unexplained bangs, shadows jumping, Orbs floating in the basement and poltergeist activity in the upper tiers.
What a privilege to have been allowed this unprecedented access to possibly one of the most haunted locations in the North West of England.
Outside Adventures | Haigh Hall Country Park, Wigan
If you're looking for somewhere in the North West (specifically under an hour from Manchester) that will satisfy most outside adventures, then Haigh Hall Country Park is an excellent choice.
With crazy golf (and the real thing!), a huge play area and woodland Go Ape style activity area, plus a miniature train three assorted walking trails in the park, there is plenty to keep you in the great outdoors.
Not only that, you can grab a snack, meal or delicious hot chocolate in the mini shopping area.
My video shares the red walking route and highlights the features of this great park!

Haigh Woodland Parkrun 12/05/2018 - Marshall Point No.3
Me trying my best to encourage people on at Marshall Point No.3 at Haigh Woodland Parkrun, on the return leg with about 0.8miles left on the course. The runners have just got past the most gruelling climb called Pig Hill.
The Haigh Woodland Parkrun course is a single lap run consisting of a 260ft descent followed by a return 260ft ascent. The course encompases tarmac, slate, shingle and brick pathways, miniature railway lines, bridges and a road to cross and of course muddy woodland trails with tree roots and various bits of foliage to overcome. It's not one for the timid runner.. but it definitely is rewarding!

Walking Haigh Hall's Miniature Railway track
Mr and Mrs H walk along the mile long loop of Haigh Hall's 15 inch gauge miniature railway track which first opened to passengers in 1986 to take a look at some of the features from both the past and present of what was once considered Haigh Country Parks signature attraction.
