Hakarimata Scenic Reserve, Ngaruawahia, New Zealand
Hakarimata Range is a range of hills on the western edge of Ngaruawahia in the Waikato region of New Zealand, overlooking the confluence of the Waikato and Waipa Rivers. The videos shows the Hiking trail to the top with beautiful waterfalls and view along the way.
It is a 335 meters climb from Brownlee Avenue to the summit with 1345 steep steps. Never ending stairs to the top. Well maintained track mostly used by Athletes who want a challenging training or people who love nature.
It was my first climb up the Hakarimatas. I loved it and want do again in future. It was not easy. Fabulous walk but hard. When you reach the top- you are rewarded with Amazing landscape view. Its totally worth it.

This is a short hike I did in the Waikato Region of New Zealand. In this day hike video I show the map location and route for this bush walk. The section of the day hike I did was a good climb and I left a little sweat on the trail but there were some great sights to be seen on this bush walk and it is well worth the effort. WHITECLIFFS WALKWAY, TARANAKI (NEW ZEALAND) (OPTION 1)
This walkway uses the Kapuni to Auckland gas pipeline route for 11 km. The laying of the pipeline involved an immense amount of heavy construction work and these operations opened up walking access to the dramatic forest and coastal country of the region. The entire walkway is across private land.
It is no longer possible to walk the Whitecliffs Walkway from Pukearuhe to Tongaporutu as the northern end of the track from Clifton Road end at Tongaporutu to the stock tunnel entrance is currently closed.

VIDEO LOCATION: Owharoa Falls is a staircase waterfall in New Zealand, located off Waitawheta Road, near State Highway 2, between Paeroa and Waihi
The Karangahake Gorge lies between the Coromandel and Kaimai ranges, at the southern end of the Coromandel Peninsula in New Zealand's North Island. A sharply winding canyon, it was formed by the Ohinemuri River. State Highway 2 passes through this gorge between the towns of Paeroa, Waikino and Waihi. This road is the main link between the Waikato region and the Bay of Plenty.
