Hakodate, Japan - Hachiman Zaka Slope (2019)
Named for the Hakodate Hachiman Shrine, which has since moved. It's known for its splendid rows of trees and its views of Hakodate Bay with the Seikan Ferry Memorial Ship “Mashu-maru” in the distance.
An eight-minute trip from Hakodate Station on the Hakodate Tram for Hakodate Dock-Mae, then a five-minute walk from the Suehiro-cho stop.
Hakodate (函館市 Hakodate-shi) is a city and port located in Oshima Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan. It is the capital city of Oshima Subprefecture.
As of July 31, 2011, the city has an estimated population of 279,851 with 143,221 households, and a population density of 412.83 persons per km2 (1,069.2 persons per sq. mi.). The total area is 677.77 km2 (261.69 sq mi). The city is now the third biggest in Hokkaido after Sapporo and Asahikawa.

日本 京都府京都市上京区 首途八幡宮を歩きました。
Kadode Hachiman-gu Shrine, Kamigyo-ku, Kyoto, Japan
首途八幡宮の「首途(かどで)」とは「出発」を意味する言葉であり、源義経奥州出発の地ともいわれています。
当時この地には商人・金売吉次の屋敷があったとされ、彼は奥州平泉へと向かう義経を手伝ったと伝えられています。
その際に社で道中の安全を祈願して出立したといわれることから、首途八幡宮と呼ばれるようになったとのことです。
そのため、旅立ちや旅行安全の神社としても知られています。

Japan, Part Three — Hachinohe City
Japan is my favorite place on the planet and I recently got to spend a week there as a guest of the Japan National Tourism Organization, and here's what happened. This is our third leg, a visit to the city of Hachinohe. It was a quick visit, but we managed to visit a 242-year old sake brewery, an island where 40,000 black-tailed seagulls breed, and a restaurant to learn about the city's annual Bouillabaisse Festa. I posted some photos and my story over at check it out to learn more!

***Japan With Me - Episode 25 (Stream at 1080p for BETTER-QUALITY video)*** Continue on from Episode 24, we are here exploring the Yokohama area. I met up with Thearoth and Phorn for a mini high school reunion. They both doing their Postgrad in Tokyo at the moment, I don't know how they do it but it is amazing! Pretty much in this episode, we are just walking around most of the tourist attraction in Yokohama like the Cosmo Park, Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse and the shops nearby. We went to a Korean restaurant for dinner, everyone was so hungry they were just digging in! Hahaha BTW, I said the wrong amount of the bill it was supposed to be $8.75.. Silly me! Later on that night we all walked around and got on a train to Chinatown. It was like in China itself, so much food and the atmosphere was so different! We ended up talking till like 11pm or something! By the time I got back to my capsule hotel, it was like near/after midnight. Thank you very much once again for watching.
