A One-Day Trip from Tokyo to Hakone - by TAXI ????????
Did you know that you can actually use a taxi for sightseeing? My friends and I hired a taxi and went on a trip from Tokyo to Hakone – a beautiful touristic location near Mt. Fuji!
In the morning, one of km Taxi’s cabs will pick you up at your hotel in Tokyo at your preferred time. When booking the Japanese Culture Experience Tour in Hakone you can actually choose where you want to go within the Tokyo and Hakone area. It is also possible to do some sightseeing in Tokyo first – if it’s within the 8 hours of your trip. We decided to go to some tourist attractions in Tokyo: Zojoji Temple, Tokyo Tower, and Atago Shrine.
After a great morning in Tokyo, we left for Hakone! After arriving at Lake Ashinoko in Hakone, we changed into a kimono (you have to pay an extra 3.000yen). We were able to shoot beautiful photos in Hakone wearing a kimono – a once in a lifetime experience – which is highly recommended!
At Hakone, we visited Hakone Sekisho (a former toll gate), Hakone Shrine and the Hakone Venetian Glass Museum. For lunch, we visited a delicious bakery cafe overlooking beautiful Lake Ashinoko. Hakone has a lot to offer. The fee for the trip includes 10 instant photos as a service – and it’s very hard to choose were to actually take them…
The driver was not only driving but also guided us in English. He was a very polite and friendly gentleman. It is surprisingly hard to get in a car when wearing a kimono. Our driver had a small footstool prepared to help us get inside. That was very nice – and very Japanese!
The taxi fare for the one-day trip is fixed, meaning: the more people join, the cheaper it becomes for everyone. (Up to 6 people can go on this trip)
The wonderful thing about this plan is that it is very relaxing. You don’t have to worry about trains and the time. It is perfect for families with children and for people with a handicap. We were able to spend a stress-free time at Tokyo and Hakone and made a lot of great memories.
How about going on a fantastic one-day Tokyo- Hakone trip the next time you visit Tokyo? You’ll have a great time for sure!

Hakone Art Museum in Autumn
The Hakone Museum of Art (箱根美術館, Hakone Bijutsukan), located in Gora, was founded by Okada Mokichi in 1952. Its sister museum, the MOA Museum of Art was later built in Atami City on the Izu Peninsula.

These Japanese silver grasses were made by 13,000 pieces crystal glass.
You can see it at the garden of Hakone Garasu No Mori Museum in Hakone from the end of August to November every year.

WhereTF!?: A day in Venice...Japan? ＼（＠￣∇￣＠）／
Located in the beautiful tourist hotspot called hakone Japan my girlfriend and I explored the Venetian Glass Museum, which featured absolutely beautiful pieces of art. Although this experience felt a bit surreal like I was no longer in Japan but in a beautiful Italian villa in the mountains. Overall, the experience was amazing and I highly recommend you to check it out.
