Molokai's Halawa Valley
Halawa Valley is not only beautiful, it's also one of Molokai's most historic and culturally significant areas. It is believed that Polynesians settled this valley as early as 650 A.D. Much of the valley floor was covered in staple crops like kalo (taro), and heiau (alters) dot the area surrounding the valley. The trail to Halawa Valley winds its way through a majestic landscape, ending at the 250-foot Mooula Falls. Access to the valley requires joining a guided tour, as the trail crosses private property.

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters - Okala Island, Molokai, Hawaii
Blue Hawaiian Helicopters
Molokai is a hidden gem of Hawaii seen by few visitors. The most spectacular parts of this island are accessible only by air. Our flights depart from Kahului Maui.
THE BLUE HAWAIIAN DIFFERENCE There's simply no argument: Blue Hawaiian is Hawaii's #1 helicopter tour company. Blue Hawaiian's aircraft maintenance technicians have received the FAA's coveted Certificate of Excellence, Diamond Award every year since 1998. No other helicopter tour company in Hawaii has ever received this critical recognition. Blue Hawaiian was honored by the FAA for its record 12th straight year in January, 2009, at a ceremony in Honolulu, and the FAA further honored Blue Hawaiian with the very first Certificate of Excellence, Platinum Award. And Blue Hawaiian is the only helicopter tour company in Hawaii certified by the Department of Defense.
Welcome to the Blue Skies of Hawaii. Blue is the only helicopter tour company serving all four major Hawaiian islands: Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island. That means wherever you go in the Islands of Aloha, you know exactly how to get the world's finest aerial tours: just remember the color of the sky.
We don't just operate the best equipment, we help develop it. From the ultra-quiet, spacious, and powerful 21st-century Eco-Star helicopter to the breakthrough Garmin G500H technology, which gives our pilots astonishing three-dimensional synthetic vision terrain awareness in less than optimal weather; from our pioneering of multi-camera in-flight video, to designing vastly improved cockpit air-conditioning—Blue Hawaiian is always at the forefront of leading-edge innovations for your safety, comfort, and enjoyment. Because when it comes to our guests, good enough is never enough.
The finest pilots in the sky. Blue Hawaiian prides itself on hand-picking only the finest and most experienced pilots—the absolute cream of the profession—and every one of them is a State of Hawaii Certified Tour Guide. Blue Hawaiian is also the only helicopter tour company in Hawaii with its own state-of-the-art Flight Simulator, and the only one that puts its pilots through annual factory and FAA recurrent training.

Molokai Ghost Story - Kathy Tita Collins
Kathy Tita Collins tells this Molokai story at a free event at the Kihei Public Library.
Halawa Valley Molokai
Description: Everyone's heard about Hawaii. Hawaii is a well sought after travel destination for people in search of year round great weather, majestic waterfalls and pristine beaches. For those searching for the road less traveled the island of Molokai is the perfect destination. The island of Molokai is not known for resorts and lacks much of today’s modern luxuries. Molokai, specifically the Halawa Valley was Hawaii’s first civilization dating back to 650AD. Come see it for yourself.
Memorial Day Weekend in Molokai
For more on my entire Moloka'i trip, check out my blog post!
A collection of my favorite shots from my solo trip to The Friendly Island for Memorial Day Weekend 2017. The least touristy of all the Hawaiian islands, Molokai still has a lot to offer for those looking to explore a relatively untouched and sacred place. This video includes shots from the scenic 28 Mile Drive along Molokai's southeastern coast, the Kalaupapa and Halawa Falls hikes, Papokahu Beach, and the pleasant wharf of Kaunakakai. Molokai is definitely one of the hidden gems of the Hawaiian Islands.

GoPro Molokai Hawaii
Spending time with the family using a GoPro Hero2 lens. Molokai and a little bit of Maui. Just threw together some clips with music- (It's choppy/shaky and poorly edited simply because I don't have the time to bother with making it perfect)
