Absolutely worth every penny. Emery was a great pilot and tour guide. Can't wait for our next visit to do another part of the islands

Welcome to the Blue Skies of Hawaii. Blue is the only helicopter tour company serving all four major Hawaiian islands: Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island. That means wherever you go in the Islands of Aloha, you know exactly how to get the world's finest aerial tours: just remember the color of the sky.
We don't just operate the best equipment, we help develop it. From the ultra-quiet, spacious, and powerful 21st-century Eco-Star helicopter to the breakthrough Garmin G500H technology, which gives our pilots astonishing three-dimensional synthetic vision terrain awareness in less than optimal weather; from our pioneering of multi-camera in-flight video, to designing vastly improved cockpit air-conditioning—Blue Hawaiian is always at the forefront of leading-edge innovations for your safety, comfort, and enjoyment. Because when it comes to our guests, good enough is never enough.
The finest pilots in the sky. Blue Hawaiian prides itself on hand-picking only the finest and most experienced pilots—the absolute cream of the profession—and every one of them is a State of Hawaii Certified Tour Guide. Blue Hawaiian is also the only helicopter tour company in Hawaii with its own state-of-the-art Flight Simulator, and the only one that puts its pilots through annual factory and FAA recurrent training.
You'll be a star, or at least fly like one. When you choose Blue, you're choosing Hollywood's first-call helicopter tour company for blockbuster aerial photography. In addition to the upcoming mega-releases Battleship and Pirates of the Caribbean IV, our pilots have flown aerial photography for Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park: The Lost World, Tropic Thunder, Pirates of the Caribbean III, Crimson Tide, George of the Jungle, Honeymoon in Vegas, and numerous other major motion pictures, not to mention television shoots for MTV, The Food Channel, National Geographic, the Weather Channel, Wheel of Fortune and more. If these top professionals trust Blue Hawaiian with their multi-million dollar productions, perhaps Hollywood knows something you should know?
Living Aloha, every day. All of us in Hawaii have a responsibility to uphold the islands' proud tradition of hospitality. Years ago, the late cultural pioneer George Kanahele (author of Ku Kanaka: Stand Tall) showed us the incredible potential of using our helicopters as flying classrooms. We took that mission very seriously and since then have invested in Hawaiiana education for all of our employees. Our pilots offer our guests insightful and accurate information about Hawaiian culture, flora and fauna, history, geology and place names. Our guests are able to ask their pilot questions through our proprietary two-way in-flight communication system, which enhances their involvement, and when they share their knowledge with their friends and family upon returning home, the outreach extends. It's an honor to do our part to help preserve Hawaii's precious native culture.
You don't have to take our word for it. Only Blue gives you the confidence of consistent and repeated endorsements and awards from the most important international, national, and local organizations in the travel industry: National Geographic Magazine, Frommer's Hawaii, The Travel Channel; the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences, the Tour Operators Program of Safety, Helicopters Association International, and more. Blue Hawaiian is also the local Hawaii favorite, regularly voted the #1 Air Tour by the local readers of Hawaii Tribune-Herald, West Hawaii Today, North Hawaii News, Kauai People and MidWeek Kauai, and The Maui News.
Blue Hawaiian Helicopters - Halawa Valley, Molokai - HD
Blue Hawaiian Helicopters - Flying though Molokai's Halawa Valley is like taking a trip back in time to see how the islands looked when Polynesians first settled in Hawaii. Its pure untouched beauty a half mile wide and four miles deep and adorned with vistas and towering waterfalls.
Molokai's Halawa Valley
Halawa Valley is not only beautiful, it's also one of Molokai's most historic and culturally significant areas. It is believed that Polynesians settled this valley as early as 650 A.D. Much of the valley floor was covered in staple crops like kalo (taro), and heiau (alters) dot the area surrounding the valley. The trail to Halawa Valley winds its way through a majestic landscape, ending at the 250-foot Mooula Falls. Access to the valley requires joining a guided tour, as the trail crosses private property.

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters - Aerial Introduction to the island of Molokai, Hawaii
Blue Hawaiian Helicopters
Discover the serene seascapes and remote 38-mile long territory by taking an air tour with Blue Hawaiian. Tucked away from the busy outside world, Molokai is home to some of the highest sea cliffs in the world, that rises thousands of feet above isolated coastlines and beaches. Most coastlines are totally inaccessible by cars, trails and even for locals who live there. Blue Hawaiian offers you the only access to exclusive and intimate tour of Molokai's unspoiled landscapes. From November through March there is a very good chance of seeing Humpback whales on the crossing from Maui to Molokai.
Respecting the Aina and the residents of Molokai we fly quiet technology helicopters that are 50 percent more quiet over Molokai residents and the delicate environment.
You can see all of this and the finest HD aerial footage from each Hawaiian Island on our video production 'Visions of Hawaii', available through our e-store on our website listed above.

Hawaii Insider - Halawa Valley (Molokai)

Hiking to Kalaupapa National Historic Park-- Molokai, Hawaii
For more on this beautiful and historic adventure, check out my blog post!
This hike has both beauty and history as you descend over 2,000 feet through a series of switchbacks in order to reach Kalaupapa, home to a preserved lepur colony. The hike is mostly in the trees, but you will get beautiful glimpses of the coastline as you can hear the waves crashing against the shore. The highlight of the hike is when you finally reach sea level and you are rewarded with views of a beautiful beach right up against Molokai's massive sea cliffs. Enjoy your time down here and the sobering tour of the historic Kalaupapa... the hike back up isn't quite as enjoyable.

Molokai, Hawaii
Molokai is the fifth largest of the Hawaiian Islands. With only about 7500 people, a few small villages and limited tourist-oriented facilities, it has a much different atmosphere than the other major islands, very much the opposite of Waikiki. The island is home to Kalaupapa National Historical Park, an isolated peninsula on the north side of the island that once served as a leper colony. Access to the park is quite limited as long as surviving residents from the colony remain. This is also where St. Damien served. The beaches are mostly empty - for most of my beach time I had them to myself.
The Photos (in order)
H06A1418 - Downtown Kaunakakai, the biggest village on the island
H06A1447 - Old Kamalo Wharf, along Kamehameha V Highway
H06A1449 - Further east along Kamehameha V Highway
H06A1450 - St. Joseph Church, established by Father Damien; there is a statue of the saint to the right of the church and information about him and his ministry inside
H06A1490 - Halawa Valley, at the east end of Molokai
H06A1371 - View of Kalaupapa NHP from the top of the cliffs above the park
H06A1509 - At 3 miles, Papohaku Beach on the west end of Molokai is the longest white sand beach in Hawaii; even better, it is often completely deserted
