Halifax Waterfront Walkthrough
Walking on the Halifax waterfront in Nova Scotia
Halifax Waterfront - Harbour Walk - Nova Scotia
The 'Halifax Waterfront' is very popular with locals and tourist alike. The waterfront boardwalk stretches from Pier 21 to Casino Nova Scotia a distance of approximately 2.4 km. May through September are it's busiest times.
The 'Halifax Waterfront' is operated and maintained by the Waterfront development.
Hint for tourists:
For a great view of the harbour take the ferry (operated by Halifax Transit) to either Alderney Landing or Woodside. As of 2017 the fare is only $2.50. When paying ask for a transfer and use the transfer for the return trip.

Canada: Hurricane Dorian hits Halifax waterfront
Images from Nova Scotia taken on Sept. 8, show Hurricane Dorian hitting Halifax waterfront. Some residents can be seen braving the strong winds and the flooded boardwalk to look at the agitated sea and the damages Dorian has made.
Halifax Waterfront, Nova Scotia, Canada
Like many port cities, much of Halifax's livelihood and culture are centered on its waterfront. Follow the bright and spacious boardwalk along the harbor's edge and through a delightful series of open-air plazas, parks, historic sites and waterfront attractions. Pier 21 on the Halifax harbour front is the last remaining immigration shed in Canada.
