Halls Harbour Tide, Time Lapse
With average tides of over 40' the Bay of Fundy is an extraordinary place. This video shows a 5 hour tide lowering, and then the same repeated in reverse at 3X speed, then again forward. The height of the tides is even more impressive in the faster versions.
I like watching the clouds forming on the horizon as the day progresses.

Lobster Whisperer - Hall's Harbour
As a special treat on our visit to Hall's Harbour, we met Angela who showed us how to send a lobster to dreamland.
This is a valuable life skill and the sort of thing you are taught in management training courses. Take your lobster, stand it on its head with its claws laid out in front of it and its tail curled inward. Rub your hand up and down the carapace making sure to rub between the eyes. Eventually it may stand by itself. You are now in complete control of your lobster.
By the way, if you try this in a restaurant your friends will not be impressed as the lobster is already cooked.
Just some of the wonderful and wacky fun we had on our visit to Halls Harbor!
No lobsters were hurt in the production of this video -- until they went into the pot!

Time Lapse video of Hall's Harbour, Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia
What's it like to see the tide come in and go out on the Bay of Fundy? It's a bit like someone let the water out of the bath and all the toy boats are sitting on the bottom of the tub. This whole process happens every 6 hours so you have plenty of time to enjoy a lobster dinner while you wait for it come come back in. Check out this time lapse video at Nova Scotia's Hall's Harbour on the Bay of Fundy.
