The Catherine Park
The Catherine Park is a park, located in the town of Tsarskoye Selo, 25 km south-east of St. Petersburg, Russia. It is an integral part of the royal residence in Tsarskoye Selo. Catherine Park, which received its name from the Catherine Palace, consists of two parts: a regular old garden and English garden.
--
The Hermitage Pavilion in Catherine Park. Hermitage a name taken from the French language was a common feature of regular gardens in the 18 century. They located in the wild area of the park and intended to enable the owner of the estate to rest and dine.
The Upper Bathhouse a building for bathing. Upper Bathhouse contained six rooms: an entrance hall, dressing room, bath, steam bath, boiler-room and an octagonal central hall for relaxation.
The Grotto a building intended as a nook for a rest on the hot summer days.
The Cameron Gallery building that designed to offer the best possible views over the surrounding park, and especially the Great Pond, the upper story of the building is surrounded by a colonnade consisting of 44 slender Ionic columns and decorated with bronze busts of the great figures of antiquity.
The Agate Rooms building in Pompeian style was a northern variant of an ancient Roman thermae or public baths.

Views Around Catherine's Palace & Park Grounds on a Day Tour to Tsarskoe Selo (Pushkin)
St. Petersburg offers many day trips of great interest within a very short and easy distance from the city - after all, this was the home of some extravagant rulers for about 200 years! This third day in St. Petersburg we decided to head to the town of Pushkin, also known as Tsarskoye Selo - literally, Tsar's Village!
Here we walk around the beautiful Catherine's Park, with many sights such as the Great Pond, Turkish Bath, etc. - and, of course, the extremely opulent and sickeningly extravagant Catherine's Palace! This town is about 16 miles outside of St. Petersburg, around a 35 minute ride from Vitebskiy Vokzal (train station) - luckily, all trains from that station stop here, so this is quite an easy day trip for a country where English is a bit difficult to come by!
We also head to Pavlovsk, about another 2 miles south of this location, only around 5 minutes on the same line from Pushkin - however, no videos were done here, but if you can you should visit both!
Anyway, enjoy the brief but beautiful video!!

Sulphur Baths & VIP Rooms (Abanotubani, ) / გოგირდის აბანო, აბანოთუბანი, აბანოების უბანი
Tbilisi has long been famous for the natural pipinghot sulphur water that bubbles out of the ground along the banks of the Mtkvari River. The oldest bath is the Erekle's Bath. The plaque to the left of them reveals the thoughts of Great Russian writer Alexander Pushkin: I have never in my life come across anything better than baths in Tiflis. A great sense of freedom and wellbeing permeated me. All my tiredness had gone and I felt strong enough to lift a mountain - Alexandre Dumas, after a visit to the sulphur baths in 1858. A hundred years later Russian writer Alexey Tolstoy said, that when sitting in a marble swimmingpool a man feels like either Pompey or Lucullus. All the baths are below the ground level and are overlapped by semicircular domes and are naturally lit via a glass lantern over the cupola. In ancient times people could have a bath whenever they liked and could stay in the bath till dawn. The citizens used to spend their leisure time, gave formal dinnerparties and went on the spree in the baths. Fed by naturally hot mineral waters, the sulphur baths have been an essential part of Tbilisi life for centuries.

'Chreli abano' - Motley sulphur bath (Abanotubani,)/ ჭრელი აბანო, აბანოთუბანი
Tbilisi has long been famous for the natural pipinghot sulphur water that bubbles out of the ground along the banks of the Mtkvari River. The oldest bath is the Erekle's Bath. Orbeliani (blue) bath with an arrowlike facade and minarets on its side is distinguished from the baths located on Abano (bath) street. It is also called Chreli abano (motley bath), as it got its name because of the motley tiles covered the portal. It was redecorated in the eastern manner in the second half of the 19th century. A hundred years later Russian writer Alexey Tolstoy said, that when sitting in a marble swimming pool a man feels like either Pompey or Lucullus. All the baths are below the ground level and are overlapped by semicircular domes and are naturally lit via a glass lantern over the cupola. In ancient times people could have a bath whenever they liked and could stay in the bath till dawn. The citizens used to spend their leisure time, gave formal dinner parties and went on the spree in the baths. Women were allowed only on special days. Town matchmakers often arranged brideshows there. Fed by naturally hot mineral waters, the sulphur baths have been an essential part of Tbilisi life for centuries. Why not come and try it for yourself?
