Truro is a city and civil parish in Cornwall, England, UK. The city is the centre for administration, leisure and retail in Cornwall. It is the only city in the county, and the most southern city in Mainland Great Britain. People from Truro are known as Truronians.
Truro initially grew as an important centre of trade from its port and then as a stannary town for the mining industry. The city is well known for its cathedral (completed in 1910), cobbled streets, open spaces and Georgian architecture. Places of interest include the Royal Cornwall Museum, the Hall for Cornwall, Cornwall's Courts of Justice and Cornwall Council.

King King swept the board at this year's awards taking the Of The Year awards for Male Vocals, Bass, Drums, Band and Album. They were runners up in the Guitarist and Song Categories.

The band has toured every year since its formation in 1962.
This tour features the brilliant original Hollies songwriter and guitarist Tony Hicks and drummer Bobby Elliot. Fronted by the excellent singer, guitarist and harmonica player, Peter Howarth.
Howeth joined the band in 2005, replacing Allan Clarke on his well-earned retirement.

The Hollies became one of the leading British groups of the 1960s (231 weeks on the UK singles charts during the 1960s, the 9th highest of any artist of the decade) and into the mid 1970s. It was formed by Allan Clarke and Graham Nash in 1962.
Graham Nash left the group in 1968 to form the supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash.
Harold Allan Clarke retired from performing in 1999, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.

This year's Hall For Cornwall Christmas Show promises to be bigger and better than ever before!
Once upon a time, a young lad called Dick Whittington set off from Cornwall to follow his dreams of fame and riches. But times are hard, and before long our hero hasn’t got a penny to his name and nobody but his faithful cat for company. He turns for home….
Will Dick find his fortune after all? Or will his hopes be thwarted by the menacing King Rat and his minions?
Starring Harry Potter actor Granville Saxton who is a firm favourite with HFC audiences, loved for his hilarious audience interaction and brilliant ad-libbing. Granville is back, this time playing Alderman Fitzwarren, but keep your eyes peeled as he is set to pop up in a variety of other intriguing guises, so expect even more laughs and surprises!
Appearing alongside Granville will be Cornwall's very own comedy star Kernow King, otherwise known as Edward Rowe! Kernow King has become a huge local star, known for his hilarious stand up routines where he presents a Cornish mock 'take' on the world around us!
A professionally trained actor, Edward is looking forward to being back on the theatrical stage and will play the role of Kenwyn, Dick Whittington's cousin who joins him on an adventure to London.
Hall For Cornwall are proud to present a home-grown Christmas adventure for the whole family!
Performances are taking place from the 6th December 2015 - 3rd January 2016!
