Halls Gap Zoo Victoria | Grampians Australia
Visit Halls Gap Zoo Victoria, in the heart of the Grampians Australia. Halls Gap Zoo is located next to the Grampians National Park. You will see an albino kangaroo and an albino peacock! Upon the opening of my video you will see a red-tailed black cockatoo. Their populations are decreasing with a conservation status of Least Concern.
If you're stuck on things to do in the Grampians, why not visit Halls Gap Zoo!? You can explore the zoo and some of the Grampians in one day! That's what we did. We saw McKenzie Falls and stopped at Boroka Lookout for some classic Grampians views.
Halls Gap Zoo is Victoria's largest regional zoo with over 160 species of mammals, reptiles and birds. There are meerkats, giraffe, wombats, rhinoceros, cheetah, red panda, lemurs, macaws and many species of wallaby and kangaroo. You can even hand feed the animals along the way! Some animals are free roaming, such as deer or the peacocks you will see in my video.

You won't see all the zoo animals in my video. A few of them were difficult to see properly (such as the cheetah), so I wasn't able to get all of them on camera. The footage from this video was taken a while ago, so I wasn't originally planning on uploading these onto YouTube... but I thought there was enough there to make a video out of them anyway. Luckily I made this video a few days before I lost all of my original videos and photos! My hard drive stopped working unexpectedly, so I'm glad I made this video before that happened.

Halls Gap Zoo, Victoria Australia is an amazing Zoo where children can feed deer, kangaroo, wallabies, goats, sheep and Himalayan tahr.
The animals are friendly and interactive. The playground is great fun too. Even the dinosaurs are friendly, kinda.
The trip from Melbourne, Ballarat, Geelong or Bendigo is well worth the drive.
Our family had a fantastic day and we will return again soon.

The Grampians National Park and Halls Gap Zoo - Discover Downunder: Episode 2, Part 1
The Grampians National Park is a haven for travellers with a love of nature and a sense of adventure. Adrian from Absolute Outdoors gives Brooke a tour - including showing her the best view, which leads to an abseiling lesson. Naturally, Brooke is up to the challenge! Meanwhile, Tim meets the animals and zookeeper at Halls Gap Zoo. It's incredibly hands on Zoo. The Halls Gap Zoo's animals encounters lets visitors get up and close and personal.
