Saturday, Sunday & Holidays (First Saturday in May to last Sunday in October): 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Events outside of these hours are adjusted annually.

The Halton County Radial Railway and the OERHA was formed in 1953 by a group of men who wanted to save Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) streetcar 1326 from being sent to the scrap yard. After the donation of this streetcar, the dream grew. Land that used to be a part of the Toronto Suburban Railway in Nassagaweya Township was acquired, and subsequently, a number of other street and radial cars were eventually rescued. The museum's grand opening to the public took place in 1972.
Since the beginning, the vision of the HCRR was to inform, educate and inspire the public about the electric railway history of Ontario and Canada. Today, the museum displays and operates a variety of historic streetcars, radial cars and work cars, and maintains a collection of photographs, memorabilia and archival materials. The oldest rail car in the collection dates from the late 1800s.

Ride the rails! Located at 13629 Guelph Line in Milton, Ontario the Halton County Radial Railway (HCRR) is a full-size operating electric railway and museum, featuring historic electric railcars operating on two kilometers of scenic track. The HCRR is owned and operated by the Ontario Electric Railway Historical Association (OERHA), a non-profit, educational organization. The HCRR is proud to be Ontario’s first and largest electric railway museum.
The OERHA is made up of active members who volunteer to maintain, restore and operate the museum for its many visitors throughout the year. New members are always welcome at the HCRR, and there are many ways to lend a hand.

This day they had 3 trams / streetcars operating, #327 and #2424 are shown (London & Port Stanley #8 was also running).
The first part of the video is some run-bys, the last 75% is an almost-complete one-way cab-view of the entire line (albeit cheating in that I filmed out the back and reversed the video).

SPECIAL: Halton County Radial Railway's Christmas on The Rails 2019
The Halton County Railway Museum is the premiere site for seeing Toronto's streetcar history, but it only operates for the public between May and October... except in December when the museum's volunteers organize the Christmas on the Rails event, running streetcars in the snow on the weekends before Christmas. Transit Toronto videographer was there to catch the event, which highlighted the museum's new CLRV acquisitions.

An Afternoon at Halton County Radial Railway
Who doesn't love an old Train, Tram or Streetcar? Well this hidden place in the middle of Southern Ontario is a Gem in the Countryside.
Lots of Streetcars and several of them operating along the 2km of track running through the Woods.
Visiting the Halton County Radial Railway
About an hour outside of Toronto on the 401 in Milton lies the Halton County Radial Railway and its collection of vintage TTC equipment along with some vehicles from other agencies. The museum has a 2 km electric railway line with loops on each end running through the forest. Operating on that day were a vintage TTC Peter Witt style car and an 1890s era single truck open air car from the Toronto Railway Company.

Christmas at the Halton County Radial Railway 2016
