Commonwealth War Graves at the Hamilton Cemetery
Hamilton Cemetery is a lovely park cemetery, the first owned and operated by a municipality in Canada. Its meandering paths are a great place for a stroll amongst the city’s history. Of its 21500 monuments, about 130 are from the Commonwealth (formerly Imperial) War Graves Commission to mark the graves of those who served in WW1. Most died of illnesses during or right after the war … listed as influenza, phthisis, diphtheria, pneumonia or just sickness.
About 2000 Hamiltonians died in service in WW1, about 2% of the population at the time.
The Cross of Sacrifice was unveiled at a Decoration Day service on 23 August 1923. Twenty thousand Hamiltonians, including 8000 war veterans, attended the ceremony.

Hamilton cemetery on York Boulevard in Hamilton, Ontario is the oldest, public burial ground in the city of Hamilton. It is located on Burlington Heights, a high sand- and gravel isthmus that separates Hamilton's harbor on the east from Cootes Paradise on the west.
Historically, the cemetery consists of three, separate burial grounds over 100 acres: Burlington Heights Cemetery, the Christ Church Grounds, and the Church of Ascension Grounds. From 1850 until 1892, each burial ground was administered separately, but by the beginning of the 1890s, the church wardens were encountering difficulty paying for the maintenance-and upkeep of their areas of the grounds. In 1892, an agreement with the City of Hamilton who assumed responsibility for all the grounds, which were renamed Hamilton Cemetery.
Possible Shadow figure spotted upper left side at 2:44 of the video. Looks like it quickly runs between trees.

Dundurn Castle's Wedding Ghost - - Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
Dundurn Castle is a national historic site for Canada, and a point of pride for all of Hamilton.
Oh, and it's haunted! They don't want you to know. This story was covered by the Hamilton Spectator, and later featured on CHCH.
Here we have Daniel of the Ghost Walks presenting the story in his own words, and the evidence of the Houdini-like ghost of Sophia MacNab.
