We were staying in Basingstoke for the Made In Basingstoke Festival
We stayed in the four-star Apollo Hotel not far from the centre of Basingstoke, Hampshire.
The Made In Basingstoke festival is a 4 week long event designed to celebrate the range of goods, services and people that have their origins in Basingstoke.
Basingstoke has some good shopping at Festival Place and the Bombay Sapphire distillery is very close. You can also visit ‘Downton Abbey' - Highclere Castle which is only a 20 minute drive from the Apollo Hotel.
