The Hanayome Noren is a special sightseeing train that makes two round trips daily between Kanazawa Station and the hot spring resort of Wakura Onsen. This train is decorated inside and out with gorgeous designs inspired by the traditional crafts of the Hokuriku region: Wajima lacquerware, Kaga-Yuzen silk dyeing, and Kanazawa gold leaf. The experience of riding this train is like being in a traditional luxury hotel and so it has been nicknamed a “ryokan on wheels”.
The Hanayome Noren is limited express service operated by JR West so it is covered by the Japan Rail Pass. At Kanazawa Station this train departs from Platform 4.

Beneath a square in front of the JR station is Hokutetsu-Kanazawa Station, the terminal of the Hokuriku Railroad Asanogawa Line.
JR Kanazawa Station is elevated above street level, featuring three island platforms with one cut-out platform (for Track 4) on the Up (Toyama) side of the middle island platform, serving seven tracks in total. A large roof covers the station building, in order to prevent train stoppages due to accumulated snow within the station.
The Hokuriku Shinkansen platforms are adjacent to the east exit, between the Motenashi Dome and the conventional tracks. The shinkansen station has two island platforms serving four tracks. At the time of its opening, it will be the terminus of the line, although, long-term plans call for the route to be extended first to Tsuruga, and eventually to Osaka.

The Hanayome Norem runs on friday, saturday and saturdays and other selected days.
It runs between Kanazawa and Wakura Onsen. We caught the train from Nanao.
For JR Pass Holders, this is covered. You just need a reservation as the train only carries 37 passengers in the 2 carriages. . (PS and get strange looks from booking clerks. I don't think many people book Nanao to Kanazawa)

JR西日本が2015年10月の北陸デスティネーションキャンペーン開始に合わせて運行を開始させた、観光列車「花嫁のれん」号。
列車名の「花嫁のれん」の由来は、昔、娘の幸せを願って嫁ぎ先に渡される嫁入り道具の名前の一つで、婚礼当日に花嫁は嫁ぎ先に提げられた同のれんをくぐり嫁入りする、という石川県の伝統文化にちなんだものとなっています。
運行区間は金沢駅からIRいしかわ鉄道線経由の七尾線直通で和倉温泉駅まで運転し、同駅よりのと鉄道の観光列車「のと里山里海」号に接続して観光客の導線を担っています。
今回、金沢→和倉温泉間の1号に乗車してきました。
1号では車内でスイーツが提供され（要予約）、他にも売店コーナーや工芸品展示スペース、大型スクリーンなどが車内にありました。
途中の宝達駅では特急サンダーバード20号との行き違い待避（運転停車なので下車不可）が、羽咋駅では行き違い待ちを兼ねた停車でホームに降りて記念モニュメントや列車との記念撮影が出来るようになっていました。
七尾駅→和倉温泉駅間のみ、車窓を撮影しています。

Kanazawa Station is the terminus of the Hokuriku Shinkansen, a bullet-train line connecting Tokyo and the capital of Ishikawa Prefecture in two and a half hours. It has been cited by Travel + Leisure magazine as one of the world’s most beautiful train stations.
As part of the work to improve the station’s environs in advance of the line’s opening in 2015, a “Hospitality Dome” (Motenashi Dōmu) was built to cover the area outside the east gate. Consisting of 3,019 panes of glass supported by a frame of aluminum, the dome extends hospitality (motenashi) to visitors by providing a great umbrella to shelter them from Kanazawa’s frequent rain and heavy winter snow as they emerge from the station.
Just outside this dome is the Drum Gate (Tsuzumi-mon), a distinctive structure with a large curved roof supported by two massive pillars made of slanted beams of wood. The shape of these pillars evokes the drums used in the Nō theater performances that are part of the region’s tradition.
