Handayama - Cherry Blossom Secret ✿ Okayama City - 岡山市半田山植物園 - Japan As It Truly Is
Like cherry blossoms? Tired of the tourist hordes reading the same guides and rushing to the same places? GO HERE!
The Handayama Botanical Garden in Okayama City is a marvelous place to see the sakura without the crowds. It was opened in May, 1964 and covers 11 hectares with over 150,000 trees and 3200 varieties of plants.
The park is open 9 AM - 4:30 PM (last entry 4 PM). Closed Tuesdays or if a holiday, the following Wednesday. Also closed Dec 29-Jan 3. Entrance fee is ¥308.

Handayama Botanical Garden
Well known for its cherry blossom trees, this botanical garden is a very attractive cherry blossom viewing spot. Boasting 1000 cherry blossom, or sakura, trees, many people gather here for cherry blossom viewing picnics (hanami’s) in the spring. As the botanical garden is located alongside a steep hill, visitors can enjoy the cherry blossoms as well as magnificent views of the city.
15 minute walk from JR Hokaiin Station
Hours: 9:00 to 16:30 (until 21:00 during sakura festival)
Closed: Tuesdays (however, opened everyday during the sakura festival)
Admission: 300 yen

Umenosato Park in Kojiro Tsuyama,Okayama
Umenosato Park is located in Kojiro Tsuyama in Okayama Prefecture.
Within the 5-hectare site are over 3800 plum trees representing 14 types of plum.
The park was created by locals and was opened in 1994.
From mid-February to late-March, the plum trees blossom, covering the whole park in bloom and marking the advent of spring with their scent.
There are many different colored blossoms, ranging from red to pale-pink and white.
A 'Ume Festival' also takes place near the park entrance and lots of people come to visit then.

During the months of March and April,
many people all over Japan go out to admire the cherry blossoms in full bloom.
Handayama Botanical Garden was crowded with blossom viewers.

岡山市半田山植物園（おかやましはんだやましょくぶつえん、英: Handayama Botanical Garden）は、岡山県岡山市北区にある植物園。11万平方メートルの園内には、約3,200種15万本の植物の他、一本松古墳や、明治時代から使用されている配水池がある。 開園時間 - 9時-16時30分（入園は16時まで）
休園日 - 年末年始(12/29-31,1/1-3)、毎週火曜日、ただし火曜日が国民の祝日と重なった場合は、その翌日。

倉敷常春藤廣場(Kurashiki Ivy Square)是個遍滿常春藤的磚塊建物。廣場裡有著咖啡館，商店，展覽室，美術館和旅館。這是一個非常漂亮和有趣的地方，真的很適合來這邊走走。
該地是日本最早的現代紡織廠，磚塊建築最初於1889年建於紡織廠的一部分。紡織廠還未建造之前，於江戶時代（1603-1867），該地當時被直接用於江戶幕府使用的辦公室。
在日本最早的現代紡織廠─倉敷紡織廠(Kurashiki Bosekijo)，也被稱為倉敷紡績，因導入新的工業技術，也對國家帶來相當的利益。今日仍活躍於紡織界及各個行業。
倉敷紡織廠裡也設有紀念館，可了解倉敷紡織廠從創建至今的歷史內容。其他一些博物館也散佈於倉敷常春藤廣場裡或周邊。
