Do you know about the story of a lovely Chinese princess during the dynasty of Ming? Let us tell you on our vlog. The legendary myth story of Hang Li Po and her well is located in Melaka at Jalan Puteri Hang Li Po, Kampung Bukit China.
On our research and discovery on the story of Hang Li Po we were amazed by the stories and tells of her but yet you shall find who she.
Many people have heard of the princess name but many people do not know about the tales of the princess.
According to Sejarah Melayu (Malay Annals) which was written by Tun Sri Lanang, Hang Li Po, was believed as the daughter of Maharaja of China during 15th Century, was brought to Sultan Mansur Shah’s palace. Sultan Mansur Shah was the sixth Sultan of Melaka. He ruled Melaka from 1459 to 1477. He ascended the throne after the death of his father, Sultan Muzaffar Shah. Hang Li Po then was converted to Islam, and married to Sultan Mansur Shah.
Despite the claim above, there is no claim of her existence and you are about to discover her story in our research.
The Hang Li Po’s well is said to be magical where if people drank the water they will return to the place again in the future. It is an interesting story and you will be surprise by how old and historical the well is.
We visited the well on 12 November. The location of the well is 10 minutes from the city of Melaka.

Sama juga disaat kita habiskan jutaan ringgit demi menyewa pasangan Fu Wa dan Feng Yi - Panda Gergasi dari China dan kononnya menunggu persetujuaan Kerajaan China untuk kita hantar Tenuk Malaysia ke sana. Hingga hari ini impian Tenuk (Tapirus indicus) melawat negara China belum tercapai. Bolehkah usaha sehala ini dipanggil kerjasama.

When in Melaka you must try the popular Malay dish, asam pedas. This spicy, tangy stew is made from tamarind and chilli and a protein of your choosing. There are lots of asam pedas restaurants in Melakak but we dine at a Kota Laksamana which serves its asam pedas in a claypot.
We opt for pari (stingray) and tetel (beef shank). Both asam pedas claypot come with white rice, half a salted duck egg and some vegetables. It is a delicious dish and definitely one to tick off your Melaka famous food eats list!
After dinner we head to Jonker Street for the night market or pasar malam which is held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from about 6:00pm to midnight. There are lots of stalls selling everything from fake tattoos and fidget spinners to phone covers and clothing. We buy some dodol, a soft sticky coconut toffee to sample. Definitely worth a try.
