West Lake | The pearl of Hangzhou (Hello China #53)
Known as Xi Hu in Chinese, West Lake in Hangzhou is reputedly ‘heaven on earth’ and has been the subject of countless paintings and poems. It was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011 and is the jewel in Hangzhou’s crown.

West Lake is one of the best place in Hangzhou.It was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011. west lake's Beautiful scenic Area is a famous must visited tourist destination from Day to night. I love the morning in west lake. As a regular visitor I wonder how this lake make a strong bounding with people and nature. I wonder how everyone get together at such a very early morning specially Hangzhou’s senior citizens start their day into a positive vibe! Singing together, practice group dance , free hand exercise, yoga and Taichi (Chinese shadow boxing), playing cards, some people like to gossip together, laughing together!! its a True Reflection of hangzhou people's life, culture , traditions and reflection of happiness! The Fresh morning, sound of air, songs of nature, west lake's clean water, people's energy......Everything makes me touching and gives me positive energy for the whole day.

Mid-Autumn Festival: Holiday sees large crowds at tourist sites
The second day of China’s Mid-autumn Festival holiday saw Chinese descending on tourists sites in their droves. Mount Wutai, the sacred Buddhist mountain in Shanxi Province, had more than 10,000 visitors. In Sichuan Province, some 20,000 people flocked to national park Jiuzhaigou in just one morning. Also busy was Chengdu promenade Kuangzhaixiangzi, clogged with more than 65,000 pedestrians on Thursday. And Hangzhou, the G20 host city, is predicting 15 million visitors over the holiday.
