Mt Tenran-Mt Tonosu-Azuma Gorge, Hiking in Hanno - [Japan Vlog]
Long but relatively easy hike up two short mountains (hills?), and into a river gorge, with lots of interesting sights and brilliant autumn colors to go with. The rare November snow (2016) made a sort of nuisance of itself by muddying much of the path with its slow melting, even though it hadn't rained the day before.
Got myself a screen recorder and experimented with doing some Pokemon Go style vlogging shenanigans as well :O

Shopping at a Big Japanese Mall
Aiko and Shin visit a big shopping mall, which is located just outside of Tokyo in Chiba. It is made up of 4 buildings, which each building having three floors (We said 5 in the video, but we were counting the grocery store / Aeon centre as a separate building). If you want to check out the stores and mall layout, you can do so at The mall is made up of the Grand Mall, Pet Mall, Active Mall, and Family Mall. It was built in 2015, so is quite new.
The mall is also has tax-free shopping for foreign visitors. Would I recommend visiting the mall? It's quite hard to say. There are so many shopping experiences to be had in Japan, and if you were going to only go to one type of shopping place, I'd probably recommend going to Odaiba. But if you're in the area and want to go shopping, it's a nice mall with stuff for everyone in the family.
I should also mention, if you're craving a real American hamburger, Village Vanguard Diner is hands down the best burger place I've eaten at in Japan so far.

NAGOYA, Japan: you saw the castle. Now what? ???? | Vlog 3
Our Nagoya, Japan trip couldn't come to an end without visiting some more attractions in Nagoya city. People may only think about Nagoya Castle as the main attraction in Nagoya, but you'd be surprised to discover the city offers much more. Can you believe there are many things to do in and around Nagoya Station? We start the day at Atsuta Shrine, continue in the Osu shopping district (where we see more shrines and temples) before trying miso katsu at Nagoya Station and going up at Midland Square and Sky Promenade.

Highway through a Building Story ★ ONLY in JAPAN
Osaka's Gate Tower Building is an amazing sight to see because ... well, how should I put this? A highway goes through the building.
It literally does, and there is a story behind it.
In this episode, John not only goes inside to see where the elevator takes him, he also drives through it -- in a Lotus Seven. We'll also go up the Umeda Sky Building and catch some fantastic angles of the city, skyline and Gate Tower Building.
THE STORY:
Here it is from the building owner.
It’s basically a land rights dispute with a sort of happy ending.
The property was owned by a business (coal and wood company) since the early Meiji era but when business declined, so did the buildings in the 1970s. The area was approved to be redeveloped in 1983 but the property holder refused to give up the land, even though new building permits had been refused to him. The highway corporation and the property owner negotiated for 5 years and what you see today is their compromise. Highways usually buy the land they’re on but a new law in 1989 allowed the possibility of having two owners on the same spot, really meant for highways to go underground but hey – let’s get creative.
The highway is the legal tenant of floors 5 through 7.
The current building tenant on the other floors is TKP.
WHERE IS THE BUILDING WITH THE HIGHWAY THROUGH IT?
Google map:
Closest Station: JR Fukushima Station
It's one stop away from JR Osaka Station on the Loop Line.
Special thank you to TKP and the building owners for allowing me to film inside the building.

Suicide Forest in Japan (Full Documentary)
The Aokigahara Forest is the most popular site for suicides in Japan. After the novel Kuroi Jukai was published, in which a young lover commits suicide in the forest, people started taking their own lives there at a rate of 50 to 100 deaths a year.
The site holds so many bodies that the Yakuza pays homeless people to sneak into the forest and rob the corpses. The authorities sweep for bodies only on an annual basis, as the forest sits at the base of Mt. Fuji and is too dense to patrol more frequently.

Exploring Japan With My Companion Blanca (ジェフとブラりたび) - Toriikannon
Torii Kannon is a Bodhisattva inspired Kannon temple seated on 30 hectares of mountainside in the township of Naguri. Hiranuma Yataro, born in 1892, is the founder of White Cloud Mountain Torii Kannon. Yataro became a sculptor later in his life. The small temple at the foot of the mountain was built for his mother, who was an avid Kannon believer.
After walking through the gate, you will come upon a small temple. Walk further and you see a globe of the world topped with a statue. Continue on, and you find the three-tiered Xuanzang Pagoda. Follow the road past the Xuanzang Tower and find the three white statues called theDaikannon.
On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, there is a small fee ¥200 for adults and ¥100 for children. The site is open every day from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

All about Saitama-Must see spots in Saitama | Japan Travel Guide
For more info like business hours, price, map, etc, visit the link above.
**don't forget to like and share if you enjoyed this video** : )
A suburban area of Tokyo rich in nature and with many tourist sites
Area Characteristics
Saitama is an inland prefecture with more than 7 million people. With an area of 3,797km2(1,466mile2), it is bigger than the 179th-biggest nation of Samoa(2,842km2=1,097mile2). Access to the southern part of the prefecture which includes Omiya and Urawa is excellent as a bedroom community of Tokyo while the northern area which includes the city of Chichibu has plenty of nature.
Major Sites
Saitama Prefecture has Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park among many other sightseeing sites to enjoy nature including the downstream area of Nagatoro Gorge. Along with the landmarks of Saitama New Urban Center and Saitama Super Arena, there is a great variety of spots to see such as The Railway Museum, Bonsai Village and Kawagoe which has been dubbed “Little Edo”.
Food
Soka senbei (rice crackers), Kawagoe potato cakes and Kumagaya gokabo sweets are the 3 famous confections of Saitama. Furthermore, the prefecture is also famous as a treasure house for its comfort food including Kitamoto tomato curry which won a national curry contest, Hatogaya yakiudon (fried udon noodles) which has been recognized as one of the Top 5 yakiudon in Japan, and a form of karaage (deep-fried chicken) whose breading is made from Soka senbei. As well, there is Sayama tea which is among the Top 3 teas in the country and Coedo beer from Kawagoe which has even won acclaim abroad.
Transportation
There are 15 railways operated by JR and private corporations going from Tokyo into Saitama, so these are recommended over buses and cars. It’s customary to take the train from Tokyo Station for Omiya via Ueno or go through Ikebukuro to reach Kawagoe and Chichibu. Although Saitama has plenty of north-south lines, it has a dearth of east-west lines so if you are considering touring through the prefectural sightseeing spots, renting a car is convenient.

Tokyo City Video Guide | Expedia
Tokyo, the capital of Japan, is one of the most exciting megacities on the planet. The city is a spectacular matrix of villages, towns and cities, strung together by a super-efficient rail system.
Tradition, ritual and respect are the hallmarks of Japanese society. This is a place that cherishes its children, reveres its elderly, and treats visitors like honored guests.
Begin your Tokyo journey in the ancient town of Asakusa, home to the city’s oldest temple, Sensoji. Then head to the suburb of Harajuku, renowned as a center of youth culture and fashion and home to one of Tokyo’s largest green spaces, Yoyogi Park.
Just to the north of Yoyogi Park, is Meiji Shrine, dedicated to the father of modern Japan, Emperor Meji.
At Shibuya, cross one of the busiest pedestrian crossings in the world, and at Ginza explore huge department stores and tiny yakitori joints and beer halls around Yurakucho Station.
