Barth Place of Hanuman, Anjanadhri
Anjanadri Parvatha is said to be the birth place of Lord Hanuman. The hill is about 3km West of Anegundi village. A closer look at Anjanadri Betta. The hill is surrounded by plantain and paddy fields. At the top is a small temple and many monkeys.
One has to climb about 500 steps the summit. The climb is safe and quite easy because of the stairway right to the top. Close to the top one has to really bend down to pass below a rock overhang. The hill top is refreshing with cool breeze ans offers beautiful views of its surroundings; Rashyamukha hill, Tungabhadra river and Hampi. This is Rashyamukha Betta; on the boulder strewn surface a fort wall can be seen close to the hill top.
Plenty of monkeys live on this hill, in fact they hang around the temple. Tourists and temple visitors feed these monkeys with channa and other eatables. This well built monkey seems to be the leader of the group, other monkeys kept distance from him. He was sitting like this for quite some time, the position seemed to be relaxing. He was facing the temple entrance. In the background is Rashyamukha hill.
Anjandri is popular among Western tourists for sunsets views. During my two visits, I was a bit too late for sunset on the first visit. During the second visit, it was cloudy and it had rained some time back. Clouds obscured the sunset.
This temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman and his mother Anjanadevi sits at a edge, right next to a 60 foot fall. The temple is managed by a Baba and few disciples who live here.

ये है प्राचीन किष्किंधा नगरी..जहां पहली बार मिले थे हनुमान और राम जी.//kishkinda hanuman temple
Kishkindha (Kannada: ಕಿಷ್ಕಿಂಧೆ Kiṣkindhe; IAST: Kiṣkindhā, Devanagari: किष्किन्धा) is the monkey (Vanara) kingdom of the Vanara King Sugriva, The younger brother of Vali, in the Indian theology of Ramayana times. This was the kingdom where he ruled with the assistance of his friend, Hanuman.
This kingdom is identified to be the regions around the Tungabhadra river (then known as Pampa Saras) near Hampi and belongs to Koppal district, Karnataka. The mountain near to the river with the name Rishimukha where Sugriva lived with Hanuman, during the period of his exile also is found with the same name.
During the time of Ramayana, i.e., Treta Yuga, the whole region was within the dense forest called Dandaka Forest extending from Vindhya range to the South Indian peninsula. Hence this kingdom was considered to be the kingdom of Vanaras which in Sanskrit means apes or forest-humans(Van+Nar). During Dwapara Yuga, the Pandava Sahadeva was said to visit this kingdom, as per the epic Mahabharata, during his southern military campaign to collect tribute for Yudhishthira's Rajasuya sacrifice

Hampi - Anegundi, Durga Temple, Vaali Cave, Pampa Sarovar, Cobra Temple
Anegundi previously called Kishkindha is a village in the Gangavathi taluk, Koppal district in the Indian state of Karnataka , It is older than Hampi situated on the northern bank of Tungabhadra River, Huchappayana matha temple (with black-stone pillars and dance sculptures), Pampa Sarovar, Aramane (a ruined palace), Ranganatha temple, Kamal Mahal, and Nava Brindavana are the major attractions Nimvapuram, a nearby village, has a mount of ash believed to be the cremated remains of monkey king Vaali. Anegundi is best visited along with Hampi, it is part of the world Heritage Site, Hampi.
Maa Durga Temple in Anegundi, Hampi is a beautiful site with colourful clothes hanging from the tress tied by people for blessings. This is one of the top Hampi temples located on Hippie side. Vijayanagara kings used to worship in the temple before every battle.
A set of stairs leads to the entrance of the temple. Place is super clean and very well maintained. All vehicles are parked down at the entrance only and one has to climb the stairs to reach the temple. Temple is all thronged with devotees and tourists. There is also a cave further up on the hill which you can easily walk up to.Key attraction of the temple is the stone that revolves in clockwise direction when you put your hands on it. Actually it does not revolve for all. So, you have to put your both hands on the stone, close your eyes and wish something. Stone will revolve only if your wish would be granted and to our surprise, it revolved for some (means wish granted) and did not revolve for some unlucky fellas.
Vaali Gufa? I was intrigued. One of the Sanyasis at the temple explained. Vaali had ruled over Kishkinda with Pampa as his capital. At that time, he and his brother Sugreeva were united. One day, an Asura named Mayavi, challenged Vaali to a fight. Vaali accepted the challenge and a gory fight with maces ensued.
At one point, Mayavi lost his mace and unable to bear the blows of Vaali, started running. Vaali followed him and they both landed up in a cave. They wrestled for several days, while an anxious Sugreeva kept watch outside. One day, blood started flowing from the cave. Fearing that Mayavi had killed Vaali, Sugreeva blocked the entrance of the cave with a huge stone and ran away.
Pampa Sarovar is a lake in Koppal district near Hampi in Karnataka. To the south of the Tungabhadra River, it is considered sacred by Hindus and is one of the five sacred sarovars, or lakes in India. According to Hindu theology, there are five sacred lakes; collectively called Panch Sarovar; Mansarovar, Bindu Sarovar, Narayan Sarovar, Pampa Sarovar and Pushkar Sarovar. They are also mentioned in Shrimad Bhagavata Purana. In Hindu scriptures Pampa Sarovar is regarded as the place where Pampa, a form of Shiva's consort Parvati, performed penance to show her devotion to Shiva. It is also one of the Sarovar's that finds a mention in the Hindu epic, Ramayana as the place where Shabari, a devotee of Rama waited for the arrival of Ram.
The Pampa Sarovar lake is located in a valley, hidden among the hills on the road to Anegundi from Hospet. It is about a kilometer from the foothills of the Hanuman Temple. The lake is filled with lotuses, and is really picturesque when the flowers are in bloom. There is a Lakshmi temple, as well as a Shiva temple facing the pond. Next to the pond, under a mango tree stands a small Ganesh shrine.
