Happy KHmer New Year 2017 Siem Reap Cambodia front of Borei Angkor Resort
Siem Reap Province Cambodia
Siem Reap is a very popular tourist destination in Cambodia. As the gateway to the famous Ankgor temples in the region the city is the best place to stop for supplies and to soak up a bit in local culture before heading off into the lush countryside of Cambodia.
Siem Reap is a province of Cambodia and it is located in the North Western side of the country. Siem refers to Siam, and Reap means ‘defeat’, thus Siem Reap means ‘Siam Defeat’. The name is called after the Siam was defeated by Khmer army during the war in 16th century. Long time after the event the name Siam became Siem, so that today they call this province ‘Siem Reap’.
Siem Reap Cambodia was a hot place of war between Khmer Rouge and government during the war time 1980 – 1993. The population is small when compared to others provinces of Cambodia. People lived in fear and poverty. Since 1993, the first election that was governed by UNTAC (United Nation Transitional Authority of Cambodia), Siem Reap was opened to the world; many soldiers of UN came to Siem Reap to help in rebuilding this province.
Since 2000, the Prime minister of Cambodia had opened this province to the world by using his effective policy is called ‘Open Air Policy’. Many countries like to have direct flights from their city to Siem Reap. This is a good policy for Siem Reap province. Many tourism companies have come for their business and built their resorts for welcoming the visitors from all over the world.
Now Siem Reap is known as a high class province with many foreigners visiting the province for their business. Old colonial buildings too attract the visitors; visitors can enjoy their evenings shopping, eating exotic food, in massage parlors, drinking, and many other activities in this small vibrant town which has the old market and bar street.

Asia's Most UNDERRATED Landmark?! (Angkor Temples)
Are you on Instagram? Join me @drewbinsky!
EVER BEEN TO CAMBODIA? If not, then you’re in for a treat when you hear about these magical Angkor Temples (also where the movie Tomb Raider was filmed)!!
I’m thrilled to be back in Siem Reap, Cambodia for the first time in 4.5 years — the town has evolved a lot since I last remembered. Today I went on a tour that I found on KKday, in which a private guide named Lonh showed us all over this ancient city. I learned so much in one day that I can't even begin to explain -- so I hope you learn a thing or two in this video!
Do you also agree that the Angkor temples in Cambodia are the most underrated landmark in Asia? If not, then what is?

Artisans D'Angkor Tour and Phare Cambodian Circus in Siem Reap Cambodia with Club Adventures
Our visit to Artisans DAngkor was a pleasant surprise. Not on our itinerary, we asked to be taken somewhere to do a bit of shopping. Instead of taking us to a generic souvenir spot, our guide brought us here. Authentic, local, and inexpensive. Highly recommended. We also got a chance to check out the Phare Cambodia Circus which was an experience to remember.

Jahrhunderts wiederentdeckt.

Siem Reap Floating Village - Should You Visit? ????????
This video is about the insane adventure we had experienced while exploring the Khmer life in the Cambodian countryside and floating village around Siem Reap. We roamed around the rural communities in Cambodia which are settled on the shores of Tonle Sap Lake.
Kampong Phluk is a commune and village in Siem Reap Province in northern-central Cambodia. It is a village built on stilts on the Tonle Sap. The community largely depends on fishing for survival
Siem Reap, a resort town in northwestern Cambodia, is the gateway to the ruins of Angkor, the seat of the Khmer kingdom from the 9th–15th centuries. Angkor’s vast complex of intricate stone buildings includes preserved Angkor Wat, the main temple, which is pictured on Cambodia’s flag. Giant, mysterious faces are carved into the Bayon Temple at Angkor Thom.

Angkor Sangkran 2017 in Siem Reap Province Cambodia | The Elephant Terrace on Khmer New Year
We celebrated the Khmer New Year 2017 in Siem Reap province with all Khmer people and tourists in front of the Elephant Terrace at Angkor Thom. It was so so so hot on that day 16th April but it was so much fun for us all. There are concert stages, foods stalls, Khmer foods village, Lbokator, pottery, exhibition, tug of war game, and a lot more. We stopped for a while at khmer food village for some ice-cone with syrup and walked to Bayon temple to stay in the shade. They started spraying the water in front of the elephant terrace and dancing, we walked back to see them and celebrate the big day together. The biggest Sangkran 2017 is at Siem Reap province. They also have concert and other khmer popular games in front of Angkor wat temple but we can't get there until evening. We had dinner at Baray and moved to Angkor Wat temple to see lanterns. We bought lantern (10,000riel each) to float on to the water in front of Angkor Wat temple. It's beautiful as they put candles on lanterns and moved away on the lake at Angkor wat. We traveled back into Krong Siem Reap, while everyone enjoy spraying water on each other. The traffic was so bad, we can't move forward. Everyone really had a good time and so much fun on New Year 2017.
Thank you very much for watching. Please LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and SHARE this video to all Khmers and the world.
Your support is a huge encouragement for me as a Khmer to continue sharing the tourist attraction places and lifestyles in Cambodia to all Khmer and the World and bring more tourists to Cambodia.
