The Netherlands: Beyond Amsterdam
Rick Steves' Europe Travel Guide | By train, bike, and boat, we visit the top Dutch sights outside of Amsterdam: from Haarlem to Rotterdam, and from Delft to the Zuiderzee. Along the way, we enjoy charming towns with fragrant cheese markets, soggy polderland, mighty dikes, and windmills both new and old. Rolling through the Netherlands and connecting with its people, you can’t help but think, “Everything’s so...Dutch!”

Haarlem Jamborette 2019 | Closing ceremony
closing ceremony
A week in the Netherlands Vlog / Haarlem, Wedding, Portrait Shoots, Amsterdam
At the end of November and the beginning of December we went on a little getaway to the Netherlands. Mostly because I was booked as a photographer for the wedding of Bo & Ben in Maastricht. ( )
We thought why not spend a few more days here and
be surrounded by the Christmas lights of other cities. Before this trip I didn’t felt festive at all, even if I wanted to feel it so much.
The first days we spend in the loveliest tiny apartment in one of the highest buildings in Haarlem. It belongs to the kindest Andreea ( that kindly invited us to book a few nights in her apartment so we did! And I’m so happy we did. Not only because it was so cozy there, but also because this way we met with Andreea herself as well as her boyfriend Florian for a little portrait session. They were waiting for us in Bloomendal while we walked four hours through Zuid Kennemerland. The most beautiful national park with wild animals around. We were so lucky that the sun was shining on us that day after being covered in tiny raindrops most of the days.
On the next day early in the morning I was driving to Bo&Ben who got married somewhere in the countryside near Maastricht in a lovely barn where they grow and dry plants for bouquets and arrived in Amsterdam shortly before midnight. Here we spend some days with Florians sister and her boyfriend and I photographed Brookelnn and Mazarine in this lovely city.
I included some of the photos I took during this trip (analog + digital) more about everything will be on my blog soon. :)
I hope you will have a good start into the coming year whatever it might bring for you.
Love, Tina

ROBIN'S LENTIL & PESTO PASTA
» Yield: 4-6 servings
» Time: 30 min
» Ingredients
1/4 cup (35 g) pine nuts
250g pasta (we used a chickpea pasta)
1 tsp (5 mL) vegetable oil
2 medium red onions, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 spicy chili pepper, chopped (optional)
1 tsp Italian spice mix
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp dried paprika powder
1/4 cup (100g) sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
1 can (260 g) cooked lentils, rinsed and drained
2 medium bell peppers, thinly sliced (we used red and yellow)
2 medium roasted bell peppers from a jar, chopped
2 large handfuls of cherry tomatoes, halved
1 jar (150g) green olives
1/4 cup (60g) vegan pesto
2 large handfuls of washed fresh spinach
» Directions
1. Roast pine nuts on a pan on medium-low heat until lightly golden. Remove and set aside.
2. Add the vegetable oil and onion to a large pot on medium-high heat, cooking for 2 minutes, adding a splash of water as needed to deglaze the pan. Then we’ll add the garlic and cook for a couple minutes more.
3. Add the chili pepper and spices, and cook for another 30 seconds or so before adding the sun-dried tomatoes.
4. At this point, you can start cooking the pasta in salted, boiling water until al dente. Then drain and set aside.
5. Back to the pot, we’ll add the lentils, sliced bell peppers, and a small splash of water. Then add the lid to the pot and let this steam for a few minutes.
6. Then we add the roasted bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, and olives, pesto and spinach. Give it a stir until the spinach wilts, and remove from the heat.
7. Serve the veggie sauce together with the pasta. Garnish with the roasted pine nuts, fresh basil leaves, and lime wedges. Enjoy!

Utrecht, Netherlands walking tour
Utrecht is one special city in the Netherlands with a unique atmosphere created by terrace restaurants and promenades right at water level along the canals, producing a delightful ambience in a historic setting, and yet also lined with modern shops and restaurants and bars. It's this wonderful split-level setting with pedestrian streets above and down below by the canals you've got the restaurants on their terraces, really quite special. And there are many other delightful aspects to the city of Utrecht. It's the fourth largest city in the Netherlands, and it's got the oldest university, and they claim the second largest collection of historic medieval buildings, second only to Amsterdam. Standing high above it all is the tallest church tower in the country, then add to the mix typical Dutch ingredients of friendly people with a relaxed tolerant attitude, always ranked high in global indexes of happiness and quality of life – bicycles zooming by, great beer, wonderful food, and a compact pedestrian historic zone riddled with picturesque canals. This is a place you would love to visit as we will show you in this detailed travel guide.

Dreams come true: Tulip fields (Lisse)
Hello there! Visiting tulip fields in the Netherlands has always been my dream. I am so happy that now I can take this off my bucket list! I hope you will enjoy this vlog about our trip to the fields around Lisse. Please find the information on our route below:
???? We got by train to Amsterdam Schiphol where we took a bus #361 in direction to Sassenheim;
???? The bus stop that you need is Lisse, Hyacintenstraat;
???? We wanted to rent bikes in Lisse, so we went to a bicycle rental place which is located right in the centre of Lisse - 5-7 min on foot from the Hyacintenstraat bus stop (Bemelman Bike Sport, address - Heerweg 205, Lisse);
???? And here starts the most interesting part - looking for the fields in bloom;
???? To see which fields are in bloom now, go to bloemenradar.nl;
???? For more cycling routes, visit route.nl (and look for bloemenroute, you will get some interesting options);
???? You can also use the route that we used - the starting point was Heerweg 205, Lisse and the end point was Tespellaan 26, Noordwijkerhout. The route is picturesque and takes only a couple of hours.
Please let me know if you liked the video, because that would mean the world to me!
Thank you and enjoy the vlog!

First ride SNG 4K CABVIEW HOLLAND Groningen Europapark - Zwolle 14mei 2019
▼Please read about supporting CABVIEW HOLLAND below▼
This is my very first ride on the new SNG sprinter train since I have had instruction on it, always exciting! Nice when everything is new. The buttons and pedals on the floor are positioned well, in contrast to the FLIRT, where everyone has difficulty fitting their right foot. The climate control is, in contrast to the SLT, working fine. And because you are closer to the front window, the field of vision is also wider. The side windows do not add much, they are too far back. The speed/brake lever is heavy, after two stops you already have trouble with your wrist. The suspension is hard. The windscreen washer is a joke: a thin stream that is sprayed from a distance onto the window, while driving everything blows to the sides... Also because of the software that is already feeling somewhat slow, this will never be my favorite train .. Despite that, enjoy watching!

DONATE? - Dear followers! I find it incredibly fun and exciting awaiting your reactions every day! I always try to respond at least with a like. Maintaining a channel and making new films continuously takes a lot of time, and also money. To be able to produce hours of 4K material every day, a standard computer simply does not suffice. I do not get any compensation in money from the Dutch Railways, nor compensation in time. A very moderate compensation for the hours of free time that I spend daily is the advertising revenue from Youtube. But although YT really spams my movies with advertisement, the conclusion is that I would be better off doing one hour of overtime every week at the Dutch Railways. I did already know that it is possible to set up a possibility to donate easily via Paypal, but I have always withheld this because I did not want to give the impression that I have set up this channel for the money. But when I got a personal message from regular viewer Wolly9102 that he wanted to make a donation, I have decided to offer everyone the opportunity to make a donation, entirely voluntarily. This is possible with a single amount, but also with an automatic, monthly contribution. In my next uploads you will see a Paypal link that you can click on and thus contribute to the continuation of this channel. But, donation or not, I'm just as happy with all of you as followers! Amongst the channels with much nicer cab rides like Switzerland and Norway, we are not doing bad here. Are we? Thanks!

A Colourful Dutch Garden (The Netherlands) Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about a colourful dutch garden in The Netherlands.
Man’s interpretation and focus on various locations that capture the spirit of Nature, as with music, have their own individual ‘accent’ in each country of the world, depending upon the climate and the amount of expertise, flair and imagination that has gone into their creation. Some of these natural wonders are simple affairs, whilst others are great symphonies of design, colour and passion. Experience this magnificent Dutch garden and feel the inner power created by the sensitive combination of nature and music. A truly relaxing feast of both vision and sound!
