U.S. premiere of Koinobori Project in Middletown, CT
Colorful Koi flags created by community members in workshops with Japanese artist Taichiro Takamatsu and Wesleyan University Artist in Residence Keiji Shinohara at the fifth annual The Big Draw: Middletown on April 16, 2016 will fly at the second annual Feet to the Fire: Riverfront Encounter festival on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from Noon to 5pm at Harbor Park in Middletown, Connecticut before traveling to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Japanese artist Taichiro Takamatsu founded the Koinobori Project in 2012, and has led workshops creating carp flags in Australia, Austria, Germany, Japan, Kenya, Sri Lanka, and Uganda. The Big Draw: Middletown was the United States premiere of the Koinobori Project, which was inspired by a Chinese folktale about a carp which was the only fish to succeed in swimming up a waterfall on the Yellow River. For his success, the carp was magically transformed into a dragon. The story symbolizes the carp’s courage, perseverance, and accomplishment; and in Japanese culture it has come to represent the wish for the wellbeing of children. On May 5, the tradition in Japan is to fly flags in the image of a carp to celebrate children and express hope for their success.

This Is The Best Place To Catch Rare Pokémon | Tempat Terbaik Untuk Bermain Game Pokemon Go!
Many people who came from far and wide to play Pokémon GO at the West Haven beach. As you can see from this video, several gamers we spoke to claimed that the beach got the best & rarest Pokémon to capture. In addition to to having plenty of Pokestops, there are numerous lures placed by previous and frequent players enabling you to catch many of the rare Pokemon without having to wait for too long or walking a far distance.
Aiman & Hizami spent about an hour at the beach today to show you sceneries where a lot of people can be seen playing Pokemon. The beach is beautiful with amazing air quality, incredibly safe for people from all walks of life , has large open spaces, plenty of parking spots, great seafood restaurants with reasonable prices, shopping center, hygiene facilities & amenities, and most importantly a very friendly crowd. If you go to West Haven beach, Bradley point is a must place to visit.
In 2009, West Haven was dubbed the best place in Connecticut to raise a family. See the article below:
Do You Live in the Best Place to Raise Kids? Three CT towns made BusinessWeek's list - By Kyle Reyes
Good schools, low crime rates, family entertainment and affordable living. Sound like the kind of community you want to raise your kids in? Look no further than West Haven.
The city, with a population of 54,765, was listed by BusinessWeek as the best place in the state to raise your kids in 2009. Runners up in the state were East Hartford and Norwalk.
Here's how BusinessWeek came to the decision. They worked with a group called OnBoard Informatics, a New York-based provider of real estate information. They chose from towns with at least 50,000 people and a median family income between $40,000 and $100,000. Keep in mind that it means smaller communities, such as Simsbury or more affluent communities such as Greenwich, were left out.
Next, BusinessWeek narrowed the list using the following criteria:
- school performance
- how much families spent
- crime rates
- air quality
- job opportunities
- cultural activities
- and diversity
Data aside, if you're looking for why West Haven is such a great place to raise your kids, all you have to do is check out the city Web site. The first thing that pops up are the 10 Commandments of Connecticut's Friendliest City.
Perhaps those simple suggestions are more telling than any study could be.

Pokémon Go (stylized Pokémon GO) is a free-to-play, location-based augmented reality game developed and published by Niantic for iOS and Android devices. It was initially released in selected countries in July 2016. In the game, players use a mobile device's GPS capability to locate, capture, battle, and train virtual creatures, called Pokémon, who appear on the screen as if they were in the same real-world location as the player. The game supports in-app purchases for additional in-game items.
Pokémon Go was released to mixed reviews, but enormous popularity. Reviewers praised the game's concept and the incentive to be more active in the real world, while criticizing technical issues apparent at launch. Despite such reviews, it quickly became an overnight global phenomenon and one of the most used mobile apps, reportedly having been downloaded by more than 75 million people worldwide. It was credited with popularizing location-based and augmented reality gaming, as well as for promoting physical activity.

Looking Down Over Briimfield, Ohio Neighborhood
Beautiful 4K Drone Video, Looking straight down over Brimfield, Ohio. Nice spring day, almost lost my drone... Thank to Return to Home, I didn't. Shot with a Phantom 4 Pro Plus.
Brimfield Township is one of the eighteen townships of Portage County, Ohio, United States. The 2010 census found 10,376 people in the township.
The township is named after the town of Brimfield, Massachusetts, and is the only Brimfield Township in Ohio. It was formed from survey township Town 2, Range 9 of the Connecticut Western Reserve. The original proprietors were Israel Thorndike of Boston and John Wyles of Hartford, Connecticut, both of whom came to the area in 1816 to view their land and divide it. While neither settled in Brimfield, Thorndike sent his nephew Henry Thorndike to act as his agent and settle in the township. Brimfield was known by a succession of different names during the first few years, mostly in reference the swampy land within its borders. It was first known as Swamptown, followed by Beartown, Greenbriar, and Wylestown, before town leaders agreed to name it Thorndike at the establishment of the township government in 1818 after Thorndike had agreed to donate land for a town square. Thorndike never followed through on his agreement, so residents petitioned to have the name changed to Brimfield in honor of John Wyles, Jr., who had inherited his father's land interests and at the time resided in Brimfield, Massachusetts. A post office called Brimfield was established in 1834, and remained in operation until 1907

Wheeler Army Airfield - First Amendment Audit
This is the second part of the Wheeler, Schofield, NSA Kunia First Amendment Audit video from March 12, 2017.
Since I had received such a warm welcome from Sgt. Mullins of the Department of Defense Police earlier in the day in the previous video of this location, I decided to come back again.
This time Sgt. Mullins hides behind Military Police the whole time and never comes over to speak with me again. Since I am approached differently this time unlike when Sgt. Mullins approached me earlier in the day, I treat the Military Police with respect.
The Military Police try telling me that it is illegal to video toward the base, as Sgt. Mullins had and called the Honolulu Police Department on me again.
I educate Officer Newton of the Honolulu Police Department, who was very friendly by the way, and then we both educate the Military Police that what I am doing is legal and does not violate the restrictions of photography that are posted on the sign on their fences because I am outside of the base on a public right-of-way.
We give the Military Police a copy of the Department of Homeland Security memo regarding citizens taking photographs and video of federal installations from a publicly accessible area and Officer Newton recommends that they forward it to their base commander so that everyone is aware that it is legal and we do not have these problems again.
Once the MP's were educated and they were aware that what I was doing was legal the situation deescalated quickly so I stopped the video and had a private conversation with the MP's and the HPD officer afterward.
At the end I finally do give them my name to the Military Police because of how courteous and respectful they were, but that is all the identifying information I will give them. I have such a common name that my name by itself is useless to identify me with. There are 6 individuals here just on this island with the exact same name, and there are 14 of us in Hawaii with the exact same name.
I will be doing another First Amendment Audit of this base in the next few days to see if this educational session took or not. Hopefully, they will remember this interaction and will not harass me next time I want to simply take photos and video from the side of a public road.
Again, I apologize for the wind noise. I did not have an external microphone for this camera yet that I could block out the wind. I do have the external boom mic now with a dead cat windscreen on it, so wind noise should not be a problem on my next visit.
