Mitsuike Park : One of Top 100 Hanami Spot in Japan 三ッ池公園
Located in a residential area somewhere between Shin-Yokohama and Tsurumi and accessible by bus only, Mitsuike Koen will not disappoint anyone like me who slowly waited for the weekend to spend a day out with the Sakura trees.
With three ponds, gorgeous colors in all seasons, and ample sport and leisure facilities, Mitsuike Park is an excellent spot for picnicking, strolling or letting off some steam.
Mitsuike Park, meaning “three ponds park” is a park covering 29.7 hectares in the Tsurumi area of Yokohama. Mitsuike Park is one of the very popular parks for local Yokohama people, especially to enjoy the cherry blossom season.

Video I took while taking a walk from the Northern end of Yamashita Park to the Southern end. Sights included the Museum Ship Hikawa Maru, Yokohama Marine Tower, many statues and flower gardens. Taken March 13, 2019.

Harbor View Park (Minato-no-Mieru Oka Koen) （港の見える丘公園）
Opened in 1962 at the former site of the British soldiers' barracks.
The lookout and benches facing the ocean offer a full view of Yokohama port. A perfect place for viewing the Yokohama Bay Bridge at night. The forest on the north side was formerly a French military garrison, and is now called the French Mountain area.
The land was handed over to Yokohama City in 1971. The same arch as in the central market of Paris stands in front. Also includes the British House, the Yamate 111 Ban-Kan, the Osaragi Jiro Memorial Hall and the Kanagawa Museum of Modern Literature. Also famous for the roses that are in full bloom in the spring and autumn seasons.

A travel guide for visiting the city of Yokohama, in Japan. Yokohama is Japan's largest city with 3.7M people. Just a short 30-minute train ride from Tokyo, Yokohama is an easy day trip. Highlights include: Minato Mirai, China Town, Yamashita Park, and the Sea Bass. SUSBCRIBE:
In this video I cover the major highlights of Yokohama that you can visit in a day-trip to Yokohama. After arriving at Yokohama station, I stop at the Tourist Information booth at the JR Yokohama Station to pick-up english maps. Then I head out the west exit to the Yokohama Station shopping district. On the West side of Yokohama station there are a great selection of stores including Yodobashi Camera, Japan's largest Electronics Store, Tokyu Hands Creative Life Store (my favorite store in Japan for cool gadgets), and Takashimaya department store.
I then head out to the Yokohama Station East exit to take a ride on the Sea Bass. The Sea Bass is a pedestrian ferry of sorts that goes between Yokohama Station, and Yamashita Park, with intermediate stops at Minato Mirai and the Red Brick Buildings. The Sea Bass has a direct route to Yamashita park that takes about 20 minutes, or an indirect route that makes those two intermediate stops which takes about 35 minutes.
Yamashita Park is a neat waterfront park with a nice wide pedestrian sidewalk along the harbor. Yamashita Park often hosts special events on weekends. The weekend that I visited Yamashita Park it was hosting an international food festival.
Chinatown is about a 5 minute walk from Yamashita Park... Check out my other video linked below for more info on Yokohama Chinatown.
Then I took the subway from Chinatown to the Minato Mirai district. The Minato Mirai district is Yokohama's newest district with some futuristic looking highrises including the Landmark Tower, Japan's tallest office building. The Landmark tower is also home to Japan's fastest elevators. Minato Mirai is best visited at night to see the colorful light displays on the Ferris wheel.
Yokohama is also home to a couple of note-worthy museums that I didn't visit in this video but at worth a mention. 1: Cup Noodle Museum (where you can make your own cup noodle). 2: Ramen Museum (more of a food-court with a whole bunch of ramen shops)

大さん橋・横浜 Osanbashi Pier, Yokohama JAPAN
Ōsanbashi Pier 大さん橋 is the main international pier at the Port of Yokohama, located in Naka Ward, Yokohama, Japan. Ōsanbashi is the oldest pier in Yokohama, originally constructed between 1889 and 1896.
To meet modern demands, Ōsanbashi was reconstructed between 1987 and 2002. The newly reconstructed passenger terminal is named the Yokohama International Passenger Terminal, designed by Foreign Office Architects. The departure/arrival lobby, ticketing booth, customs, immigration, shops and cafe are all on the 2nd floor of this terminal. There is an observation deck open to the public, on the rooftop.
Spending a day and night in Yokohama, Japan!
Even though I live in Tokyo, I have never visited Yokohama! I decided to spend a day and night in Yokohama, Japan and see and do the tourist attractions. This was my first time seeing the Yokohama Cosmo Clock as well as the Yokohama China Town which isn’t just the biggest Chinatown in Japan but also actually the biggest Chinatown in Asia! Even though Yokohama is very close to Tokyo, it has a very different atmosphere! We also went to see the Landmark Tower with Japans fastest elevator! On clear days you can see Mount Fuji from the top of the tower. We stayed in Hotel Vista Premio Yokohama Minato-Mirai. From the rooms you have a beautiful view of Cosmo Clock and the Yokohama Harbour!
Japan is the most exciting and culturally different place I have ever been to. It has so much to offer! I hope you can follow my journey and we can explore this incredible place together!

#42 【4K】Hills park with a view of the harbor in Yokohama.(港の見える丘公園)
It is a Hills park with a view of the harbor in Yokohama, which we visited in the middle of May. Many roses were blooming.
Even when it is not the peak of the rose, it can be overlooked Yokohama Port, so it is crowded with many people.
