Harborne Walkway to Hagley Road
A walk on the Harborne Walkway in Birmingham, from Harborne to Edgbaston.
I got on near Park Hill Road in Harborne, via a cul-de-sac called Forest Drive. And walked as far as the Hagley Road, close to Edgbaston.
Some of my photos of the walk, plus three video clips.
Have also put a panoramic of the Chad Brook in.
The first bridge I walked under was Woodbourne Road. The tunnel was under the Hagley Road.
I got off at the path up to Hagley Road.
I may return to the Harborne Walkway in the future, to walk the rest of the route (towards the canal).
The route follows the former Harborne Railway.

Fighting Crime in Harborne Birmingham UK
Fighting Crime in Harborne Birmingham UK
MP, Communities to make strong steps to bring the crime levels down the way they were before 2010.
Harborne has attracted allot of dodgy people who do not live in the area. Youth on bikes, middle aged men and women hanging around 11 bus top looking for opportunities to strike. Cars suddenly parked outside a house and people are waiting for the right time to make a burglary.
People who have lived in Harborne for decades know who stand out's and see suspicious behaviour straight away. People from Urban areas walking past luxury cars and having quick glance.
You will see people get off from High Street and then get on bus stop 11. The easy route will be 103 bus or 129 hagley rd - Bearwood but they come here for a reason.

Last Trains on the Harborne and Halesowen Branches, 2nd Nov 1963
Although poor quality, this copy from a 9mm silent cine film is a rare archive of the SLS special which was the last passenger train on both lines. It departed New St. Station at 13:25pm, ran to Harborne and back, then on to Halesowen Junction via Grand Junction Camp Hill and Kings Norton, returning via Old Hill and arriving back at New St. at 17:39pm. Locos used were ex-LMS Ivatt moguls 46421, 46429 and 46522 with six ex-LMS coaches. What a shame that we didn't have today's high tech equipment back then to record these events! Filmed and edited in 1963 by my late father, Phil Waldren.

Birmingham Cycle Revolution
In August 2013 we found out that our bid for a Department for Transport Cycle City Ambition Grant had been successful. We have been given £17million which has been topped up by our own funding to deliver cycling improvements worth £24.3million. This money will be used to make it easier and safer for people to cycle in the city and allows us to deliver the first phase of the Birmingham Cycle Revolution.

Further tips:-
- Look out for bogus leaflets or brochures posted through your door.
- Check the history of the company has it been going on for a while with great reviews. Is there a genuine office.
- Be careful this could be easy tactic to steal your data.
- Also burglars use different approaches by disguising themselves as businesses.
- DO NOT TRUST ANY DOOR SALES PERSON : as it could be a tactic to see who lives in the property.
- If you see people in a car and have no intension to drive off - then be suspicious as plenty of house burglars park to observe properties before they commit the crime.
- If there is a particular place in harborne that has a history of Car jacking or Burgalars then be suspicious of anyone who does not live in a neibourhood that walks by or even in a parked car. Is there some people that stand out more then others.
- Younger generation are using bicycles to commit crimes, does person look like he or she lives in neighbour or are they looking around properties or cars.
- Be careful who joins Facebook communities. sometimes people who are quick enough to defend criminals and show sympathy is because they may have some link towards them so don't expect everyone to agree with you when reporting something which is morally wrong.
- Criminals do join Facebook communities aswell so beware. Sometimes there dodgy Facebook profile gives it away.
- Look out for areas were theres apartments, flats and run down areas in Harborne because allot has changed since 90's. Many old couples have moved out and anti - social people have moved in creating a less family environment with suspicious behaviour.
