All About Governor's Harbour, Eleuthera
HGCTV, your Channel for Bahamas Real Estate, is on location in 'Governor's Harbour' the capital 'city', as well as the oldest settlement (1640's), on the island of Eleuthera. So, let's go About Town with HGCTV's host, Sandra Kemp, as she joins HG Christie Eleuthera Estate Agent, Angela Darville for a tour of intoxicating 'Governor's Harbour, Eleuthera'.
Governor's Harbour is a juxtaposition of new and old: you will find gourmet foods, modern amenities such as banking, food stores, shopping all mingling amongst historic Victorian homes, natural timeless shoreline, unfettered life, delicious native dishes and local customs. The draw of Eleuthera has led to contemporary developments and homes find their perch on the hill and along the captivating Banks Road. Yet, the heart and spirit of Eleuthera remains intact!
Current and on-going developments like French Leave, Sky Beach, Pineapple Fields have added to the existing charm and hospitality of this historic island settlement and its beautiful people. Beachand water front properties provide a slice of heaven as you to wake up to mesmerizing sunrises and chillax on powder white sand while taking in the beautiful sunsets.

Family Dinner Date At Governor's Harbour | Sailboat Story 56
In this sail life vlog, we go on a dinner date in Governor's Harbour in Eleuthera, Bahamas.
I feel like this video is a fairly accurate reflection as to what a normal day is like while out cruising.
You get up, you clean the dinghy, you do laundry, you run out of cash so you go to the bank, then you grab a nice hamburger because by that time, you've worked up an appetite.
If you ever do laundry at Governor's Harbour, be warned. The laundromat is hotter than Hades. The dryers vent all the exhaust directly into the building itself. Holy moly, it was like being in a sauna.
No matter - we round off the day with a nice island-style family dinner date. Nothing like enjoying a good meal with my 2 ladies as company - especially on a beautiful island in the Bahamas. It just doesn't get much better than that.
Thanks for watching!!

Eleuthera Bahamas HD
It's better in the Bahamas! Welcome to the Out Islands of the Bahamas, or as we like to call it the REAL Bahamas. This video is about the island of Eleuthera and Harbour Island. It is our intent to show a glimpse of our two hosts (Kevin Oestenstad and Jennifer Fox) discovering the Out Islands of the REAL Bahamas for the first time. Join them on their journey to discover truly authentic Bahamian destination experiences in Eleuthera.
They get off the beaten path and SEEK what historical, natural, and cultural wonders these beautiful islands in the Bahamas offers to visitors. What they found in Eleuthera and Harbour Island completely changed their perspective of what they thought about the Bahamas. The Out Islands is not a place for everyone, so if you are looking for touristy resorts, crowded beaches, casinos and cruise stops, or marine life behind aquarium glass, don't come to the Out Islands. More importantly, our hosts found themselves. These tranquil islands of the Bahamas also allows you to RECONNECT to yourself and your loved ones.
Learn more about the resorts where you can stay and the activities you can do in Eleuthera and the REAL Bahamas at If you have a great story about Eleuthera, we would love for you to share them with us.
Eleuthera 2018
This was our 3rd trip to this beautiful island. Enjoy.
Island of LESVOS: Huge, brand new FERRY BOAT, leaving harbour at sunset (GREECE) ????????️
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's visit the new harbour of the Greek island of Mytilene and let's watch as a huge ferry boat leaves at sunset time, for the island of Chios and then for the main port of Piraeus. This is the ferry boat of 'Ariadne' owned and operated by the Hellenic Seaways company.
Lesbos (also called Lesvos or Mitilini) is a Greek island in the northern Aegean Sea off the coast of Turkey. It’s famous as the birthplace of the ancient Greek poet Sappho. Lesbos is also known for its ouzo (an anise-flavored liqueur). Capital city Mitilini is home to the University of the Aegean and the Teriade Museum, whose modern art collection highlights Greek artists.
Greece is a country in southeastern Europe with thousands of islands throughout the Aegean and Ionian seas. Influential in ancient times, it's often called the cradle of Western civilization. Athens, its capital, retains landmarks including the 5th-century B.C. Acropolis citadel with the Parthenon temple. Greece is also known for its beaches, from the black sands of Santorini to the party resorts of Mykonos.
Hellenic Seaways is a Greek shipping company operating passenger and freight ferry services in the Aegean and Adriatic Seas. The company is owned by Minoan Lines, which currently controls the majority stake.
Mytilene (Greek: Μυτιλήνη Mytilini [mitiˈlini]) is an ancient city founded in the 11th century BC. Mytilene is the capital and port of the island of Lesbos and also the capital of the North Aegean Region. The seat of governor of the North Aegean Region is Mytilene. Mytilene is also one of 13 municipalities (counties) on the island of Lesbos. Mytilene is built on the southeast edge of the island.

This episode is part 3 of our car tour across the Island of Eleuthera Bahamas away from our Leopard 39 catamaran. We see a place called the cliffs, tour cathedral cave, and try to eat some crab caught from Rock Sound.
Our sailing lifestyle isn't always easy. When we try to cook up some crab on our Leopard 39 Cruising catamaran we find that it's not always easy the first time. However, we found Eleuthera to be an inviting island. Even though Dean has a few a few things to get off his chest about Cathedral Cave Bahamas.

Cocodimama Eleuthera part 3
Absolutely no disrespect meant here - these are places that I would gladly surrender body parts to have, in a place like this. It's just their style. Located 5 minutes out of Governor's Harbour airport, these 'shacks' sit on Alabaster Bay with a white sand beach that stretches forever with warm, shallow waters that you can wade out in a long long ways. If you get bored with finding starfish or sanddollars, Coco's has kayaks for you to play on. This is one of the most romantic places you will find. A calm, quiet place to unwind. There are 4 rooms to a building, each with it's own covered veranda where you can sit and watch the sunset together - which are awesome on this side of the Island. The rooms are small but very well laided out - we spread out our stuff and it didn't impact our space at all. The attention to detail inside is obvious - the wood gives it a warm feeling, the tile in the bathroom area was cool and clean ( I always like it when the toilet, shower and sink counter has it's own separate space). There is an Ipod docking station for your tunes, wifi in your room, zone a/c that cools the place down very well ( important for mosquito control and yes there are mosquitos and noseeums like everywhere else on the Island ) along with a whisper quiet overhead fan- perfect combo. The kingsize bed was excellent, slept like a log. Good water pressure in the shower. The food was good, the staff very friendly and helpful and the bar always open with a TV for your sport fix - good until 9:30. A great, romantic hideaway - built for 2
I would recommend this place to my boss, it would get me my raise and maybe the corner office
