For something a bit different I opened a bottle of the Bress Cider 2015 instead of a wine for this episode of Let's Taste. What style of cider do you like? What do you think of Australian cider?

Harcourt and Maldon - Food & Wine Fossicking
The wine we make is something we're emotionally attached to, says Ian McKenzie, who owns Blackjack Wines with his good mate Ken Pollock. The pair combines traditional techniques with Mother Nature's whims at their vineyard in the beautiful Harcourt Valley. The area is equally famous for its apple orchards. Simon Frost, of The Little Red Apple, speaks of the pure taste of the valley, captured in his cider, sparkling apple juice and vinegar.
In nearby historic Maldon Cherry's Ice Creamery is kept busy by the sweet tooths year-round. Ice cream maker Ian French uses local produce where possible; he says a fair chunk of the region's boysenberry crop ends up in his ice cream -- it's one of around 60 flavours he's perfected.

Australian Wine Tour to Moores Hill Winery, Tamar Valley, Tasmania
Check out our visit to Moores Hill Winery in the Tamar Valley just north of Launceston in Tasmania, Australia. They produce world class wines in relaxed atmosphere. This would be a great destination to try Chardonnay, Pinot Noir or Sparkling Wine. And, of course, it's a great place for Best Australian Food.

Ginger Beer
The Ginger Kid Ginger Beer is made by two brothers, Kye and Quinn Livingstone. Quinn has a background in winemaking and uses this knowledge to make a ginger beer that is hand crafted in a similar fashion to a wine. When making a wine, winemakers aim to extract as much colour and flavour from the fruit as possible. This philosophy is applied to the ginger beer and the results are evident - a ginger beer that tastes like a ginger beer should - crisp, clean and full of strong ginger flavour!

Formidable marketing skills, an impeccable work ethic and a talent for identifying his clients’ needs have set Sam on an impressive career trajectory selling rural and lifestyle properties across the beautiful Adelaide Hills, with a particular focus on Hahndorf.
And six years on, his drive and enthusiasm are stronger than ever.
Following a successful career in the highly competitive wine industry that saw him working overseas and achieving top level results, Sam returned home to study a Master of Business (Property). To work as a valuer was his end game, but real estate had other plans. And so, he settled into sales as quickly and naturally as he settled his young family into the Stirling community. Because there’s nothing like first-hand local knowledge and shared stories to put you on the same page as your clients.
Sam is a passionate promoter of Hills living, citing the incomparable appeal of a country lifestyle within easy commute of the CBD, and the area’s solid track record for growth. Radiating a refreshing modesty that cloaks his many talents, Sam nevertheless recognizes the importance of having complete confidence in your choice of agent. Wine Review: Brokenwood Graveyard Shiraz Launch 2009 - Episode 81
In this episode of Spitbucket we attend the Brokenwood Graveyard Shiraz in the Hunter Valley launch from the 2009 vintage. This is all the more special because in 2008 no Graveyard was released due to a poor vintage.
If you've been lucky enough to try this wine we'd love to hear your thoughts - Spitbucket were certainly impressed.

Episode #12: On the Tasmanian Pinot Noir Trail
Don't be fooled that there is just 'one' Tasmania when it comes to wine, and especially to Pinot Noir. This week, independent sommeliers Dan Sims and Ben Edwards from The Wine Guide look at Tasmania in four distinct parts -- given that, as Ben says, Pinot Noir has so many different personalities and shows its origins and heritage better than any other grape variety. Discover a northern wine from the Tamar Valley, a cooler more structured east coast offering from Freycinet, a warmer fruited north-western wine in Davenport and a weightier more powerful Pinot Noir from the south.
